Emma I can sooo understand about finding places so wee fingers dont get them, I have just bought a 2nd spinning wheel off tm so the girls can "do their spinning" at the same time, I crochet mainly blankets, knit (very slow) little hats, bootes, jerseys, I like doing electronic crafty stuff - presentations, invitations (did our own wedding invitations) I love doing any crafty thing & keeping my hands busy. I enjoy trying new things & seeing how things work out if you just change this or don't use this but that instead. Drawing & sketching - thats just fun/relaxing for me

Wow that remind's me has anyone done or see a fire truck cake and anyone got any tip's on how to make one I need to do one for Alan birthday in febuary. |
Pop to your local library or book store and see if they have any of Debbie Browns cake decorating books. She has amazing cakes with really easy to follow instructions. We found Michaela's kitten on a ball of wool birthday cake instructions in Debbie Browns "50 easy party cakes"
Also there's a website www.familyfun.go.com. They have heaps of cake ideas, fire engine one is there (including a video demonstration). Here's the link http://jas.familyfun.go.com/recipefinder/display?id=50131
Have fun!!

Hiya
Lets see, I have just started knitting, I crochet, I sew a little, I weave (rigid heddle loom), I spin (again just starting out), I felt (wet and dry, new to this too), I cook and preserve and, well I have a blog about it all here:
My Blog
(this is my first finished project really) :)
and these are little felted shapes I made for my cousins-in-law's new little boy

Janine you are sooo good at this - love the bunny page.
I love cakes too - I'm all for a big cake competition as they look sooo gorgeous. I need the inspiration too as Miss G's b'day is getting closer by the day
