Topic: Can I be cheeky and pick your brains? Posted: 25 July 2007 at 5:57pm |
Hehehe. I am trying to think up a new banner/look for my website.. I can do a few things in photo shop but I'm EXTREMELY fussy and a "perfectionist" and I'm finding it really hard to decide what to do!
So far I've done the following two, which do you like better?
Or neither of them at all? (and if neither, what WOULD you like?)
Sorry if I am being terribly cheeky! Just looking at the same thing over and over all day you get seriously sick of it and it's always nice to have some outside input!
Thank you!!!!

Personally I dont like the Kiwi but at the same time I dont know if I like having child restraint safety in both the sign and the heading and without knowing about your website details, does the fern have anything to do with it or is that just a design you liked, as in are you going for a NZ 'look' with the kiwi and fern? I like the layout.

My website link is in my signature :) You don't like the kiwi? why is that? You're right, I wasn't quite sue about having the name in both the sign and the header. The ferns and the kiwi were there to give it an NZ "look" yes. What would you suggest?

You like my logo? I didn't really like it, I can put it up and use that instead I guess, if people like it :) Ok that's the kiwi out then! I'll put him down gently :P

I like the yellow sign and I also like your logo that you dont like hehe. Not sure why I dont like the Kiwi, just seems to touristy if that makes any sense at all, I always think of the kiwi sign as a tourist symbol. I think aim more towards the actual product and idea of the website than a symbol that doesnt have any direct link if that makes any sense.

Thank you! :) your advice really helps. Do you think it's too "plain"?

I don't like the black and white, it's not very "friendly" or "about children"-ish. I'm pleased you're moving away from the orange but what's a banner without a logo LOL! Anyway the logo is cute and friendly and "happy". Haha it's always so dumb to try and explain what you do and don't like about stuff (my DH is a graphic designer and he asks me for these kinds of opinions all the time... then regrets it )
I like the fern but at the moment it doesn't "go" with anything. Hmm that's about all I can think of at the moment.

what would something like the sign with baby on board or something like that, then the child restraint safety in bold writing and then your wee picture of the car with baby on board where you have the ferns. Just trying to visualise what it would look like cos yeah the ferns dont really match anything else.
