Any recommendations?
I've been trying for a year now. Got pregnant almost immediately, miscarried at just under three months, took a month off and have now tried for 6 cycles without any luck. I've mastered the art of temping and timing BD accordingly.
I know it's not that long but I think I need to be pro-active and go see someone as I'm in my mid thirties.
So where? My doctor is a bit clueless. I'm thinking some kind of medical advice? Fertility associates?
Does anyone know what it costs? Is any of it government funded?
I'd also like to see some kind of nutritional type person.
Any ideas gratefully received!

You might want to go to a different GP if yours is useless and ask for them to do some preliminary bloods etc first before going down the specialist track.

I agree about trying a different GP. If you DO want to try someone who specialises in fertility, you could try Repromed
http://www.repromed.com.au/site/christchurch.aspx. I'm not sure what you'd be looking at as far as costs go, but they are a reputable Fertility Specialist clinic

I've had a friend go through Repromed in Christchurch and we are just contemplating going down that track too. Apparently it costs about $200 and that includes the initial investigations for you and DH. We are just getting some initial tests done through our GP before deciding whether or not to wait a bit longer.

Apparently it is only about a 3 week wait for an initial consultation with Repromed and you don't need a referal from your gp.

Good luck

Hi PixieL,
The Oxford Clinic is great too. There in the phone book I'm sure. Some of the best specialists in Christchurch. You can speak to the nurses there and they can point you in the right direction and tell you the exact costs etc.
