Hey all
Any of you have an interesting collection? I've just remembered I have a huge care bear collection and when bubba becomes a toddler will get plenty of use out of?
So apart from dipers and laundry, what do you gals collect or used to collect?
Tara

I used to collect smurfs when I was a kid...back then they were only about 50 cents each.. Recently I saw they were selling them at the Warehouse for around $9 each!! Anyway, I still have them and there are about 60 of them which is a relatively small collection.. Smurftastic!!

Yay for the smurfs! People buy and sell them on Trade Me quite seriously. I think they are awesome.
I don't have much old care bear stuff, mine was all the new stuff that was re-released about 4 years ago. Kinda stopped though, it was getting way too costly and I couldn't keep up with them.

I have teddy bears as well, absolutely love them. Some of them are even porcelain (I think?) not soft and fluffy, but the big soft and fluffy ones are my favourites! I have given away at least half of them but my favourites are definitely still intact, and about 20-30 of them I think Hannah's only just getting into them now.

I collect beanie bears.. i used to collect them heaps pre-kids.. however stopped pretty much since having paris.. only get get very very once in a while... so have a small collection really considering they now bring out at least 5 new ones each month.. not to mention all the specials , cuddly kids and other merchandise... all started with a name bear for mike back in about 2000, then i got a jester for me, saw the full royal court up in hamilton when i visited my sister.. so bought it and it grew from there. I have from fairies to spacemen to bears dressed as foxes, monsters, ladybugs monkeys all sorts of animals (i love the ones dressed as animals) have the full collection of the mini ones they sold at countdown a while back and a fair few of those ih ave the matching big bear to. A few i have are worth alot of money as they are rare ones with mutations (ie a few were made differently on purpose). They're my obsession. i love them if i had more money i would get the full 5 each month. currently i only have about 50 i think. i know there are hundreds of them now, most have retired so you can't buy em much. When i go to hamy i buy far too many cos you can't get em here.
i talk too much about bears. here pics of most of my collection i took a while ago, and ayja cuddling a baby bear.. which is her favourite in the collection. I think the little pink one in a dress, on her knee is her own one.. is smells like candyfloss... mmm.

I had smurfs as well. BUT when we moved to NZ my dad forgot about them and left most of them in the bathroom around the bath (lucky person who moved in there). I have some but noting like what I did have, mum said at the time I had almost the whole set (back in 1984).
