ok so when cooking a roast chicken - apparently you not only take out the tray the chicken sits in when you buy it but also the moisture sucker upper pad thingey....

im not dumb - i did both of those...

but they got me - apparently there were TWO moisture sucky up thingeys and one is now nicely roasted along with my chicken!!!

chicken tasted fine - pad looks a lot worse for wear

DOH!!!!!!!!

I'm not good at cooking roasts either.. people say it's so easy, I don't think it is.. would much rather cook a lavish dinner on top of the oven - ie the stove

EW I hate those things - always remind me of a sanitary towel (sorry, hope you've had your dinner by now!)

LOL

meow: If you're not 100% confident at roasting chicken, just buy those Tegel ready to roast ones...they always come out delicious..especially the sage and onion flavour!

I meant AF ones - 'other' as opposed to meat ones.
