Hey guys, I had my scan this morning. Saw a little pumping away at 130bpm Only problem it was measuring less than it should have at 6w1d and I know for sure I'm not that early on. But it is a +/- of 5 days so hopefully at the next scan it should be right. The scan also showed a bleed next to the sac but at this stage it's not affecting the pregnancy and hopefully should just resolve on its own but again it will be checked at the next scan in around 2 weeks. So more waiting and twiddling thumbs for me!
How is everyone else doing?

Hey Kelly,
Lovely to see the heartbeat, very exciting! But am sorry to hear that things are not going as smoothly as they should. Really hope everything will be okay for you and your bubba.
I’m doing okay, 12 weeks tomorrow and have my nuchal scan on Wed. Really looking forward to that but also scared that they will find something wrong. Funny to have such mixed emotions about it.
I think I need to tell everyone soon anyway, I have a tightish top on today and HEAPS of people have stared at my tummy, eek! It just seems to be a bit bigger all of a sudden…..
Hope everyone else is well and things are going good.

Hey gals, well finally I've managed to get on, don't know what was up with that. Kelly awesome that you saw bubba's heartbeat, neat feeling aye. Woohoo on the scan on Wed Frankie, I'm thinking my tum is already getting bigger, probably bloating. I spent most of my weekend in bed, had a bout of vomiting Sat and felt yuck for the rest of the day and on and off nausea Sun, feeling better today apart from getting DH's bugs and now have cold.
Chickielou, that must have been so scary about the stroke, so glad everything turned out fine though, certainly wasn't easy for you aye.
Hope everyone else is well and happy.

Oh Asics, how crappy to have a cold. My DP has been sick all weekend with the flu/cold... so hoping I don't get it! So far, so good... and I managed last month to avoid all the office colds etc going around so FX'd
Kelly - Awesome to see the heartbeat It is very early still and as you say measurements can be out by up to 5 days, so let's hope that's the case or your little one is a late starter. Good that you have the security of knowing there is another scan not too far away to give you more solid answers.
Frankie - wohoo... not long to scan time. How exciting
Asics - yep I feel the same way... some days think I'm already getting a tum but am pretty sure it's bloating. Keeps me awake at night!!
Was a bit worried that I'm feeling so fine (apart from the broken sleep, sensitive boobs, bloated stomach etc!!)... started getting a little nausea last week and thought oh, oh that's starting early... but now nothing. Guess I should be happy as I know some of you are being hit by MS pretty hard.
Not sure why I should be so worried as I was very lucky and didn't suffer MS with DD... so not sure what to expect this time.
It must have been playing on my mind yesterday as I felt the urge to POAS to reassure myself (lol) So did a HPT last night.... wow, definately an increase in HCG since two weeks ago... the test line was there as soon as pee hit the stick... practically pulsing with boldness!! and then I had to wait for the control line to appear! Usually it's the other way around
Hope everyone else doing well

OBTW - It's my birthday today... don't think will be getting any presents this morn as DP has been in bed sick (unless he was super organised, but I think not ) But I'm happy.... I already got the best present for my 38th (arrgh!) b-day... our BFP
Gosh that reiterates that this TTC journey has been so much longer than expected... had DD at 34, when turned 36, decided good time to TTC#2, still giving enough time to go for a #3 if we felt was right to do so. Funny how life sometimes has other ideas..
I know I would be struggling with this b-day a lot if didn't have our BFP. Am going to really enjoy the day knowing we have the little secret of #2 on the way and hopefully the next 6 weeks will fly by and all be fine
Love to you all xx
Hope you have a great day too

Happy birthday Buttons, sorry I didn't get on yesterday was just full up with this cold so spent most of my day in bed, same as today. .
I'm sure the coughing actually feels like it's straining down below, hope it's all ok though. .
Hanging out to hear Frankies scan news, Chickielou will def be getting a 12 week scan. MW appointment next week so all going well we will hear hb, so then just another 2 weeks to go through for the 12 week scan.
I'll pop back later to get Frankies scan results.

Happy birthday for the other day Buttons! Cool that you are enjoying the feeling of knowing you are preggers
Asics I had a cold recently too and it does feel like its pulling on the baby, now when I retch with MS it does too, but apparently its all normal. My whole tummy feels like its stretching most of the time now, any move I make.
Ooooh I can't wait for you to have your scan Asics, it is the most amazing thing! I was a bit apprenhensive until the sonographer said "ooh look at this one moving about" and then I knew everything was alright. It was just amazing to see the little legs and arms moving, bubs waved at us at one point, it is totally surreal to think that the baby is moving around inside you and you can't even feel it yet! Such an amazing moment - 2 weeks to for you!!!!
I haven't heard the heartbeat yet, we are doing that at my next midwife appt in a couple of weeks.
Told everyone at work today, its funny being open about it all now!
Kelly hope everything is going okay for you?

I’m so glad it all went well, Frankie. I remember the weird feeling of seeing wee Bubby squiggling away, but not being able to feel him move yet. Time will fly, it won’t be long till he/she is making your tummy jiggle
Happy belated birthday, Buttons! I hope you had a good day, and that DH comes through with the presents later when he’s had a chance to get out.
Not long till your scan now Asics! I’ll be hanging out to hear how it goes for you, all very exciting.

Happy belated birthday Buttons!!
Frankie, YAY!!! I'm so pleased everything went well at the scan and you have started telling everyone! How exciting!
Hi Asics and Hopes!
I'm ok, thanks for asking Unfortunately the dreaded ms has made her presence known so not feeling the best at the moment No puking yet but came very close last night. But DH had cooked a sun dried tomato pesto chicken fettucine for dinner and I knew that wouldn't taste nice coming back up so managed to hold it in lol! So I'm just keeping a low profile until I sort myself out a bit better

Hi girls, Kelly that's a really good sign that things are going along nicely, although some woman don't get it so weird, but everyone I've spoken to say's it's good.
I love chicken fettucine, DH makes an awesome one, but yeah I so know what you mean about having things that are not going to taste bad coming back up again if that's the case. . I'm going to have scrambled eggs again for dinner (I'm always having eggs) they are so easy on the stomach I reckon and DH makes great scrambled eggs.
Isn't it bizarre Frankie that bubs is obviously having a good ole time inside and yet you can't feel it yet, weird to say the least. Be neat like hopes says to have that reassurance when bubs kicks. LOL I know loads of woman say that when it gets to the end it's not a nice feeling when everything is all so tight and pushed out.

It's still nice at 26 weeks But I'm starting to understand how hard boots could hurt!
I never make fettucine... perhaps I should try it?
My puking days seem to be over - thank goodness!
I've just paid attention to your ticker, Asics, I hadn't seen the date for your wedding before. 26 Feb is a great day for a wedding! My sister got married on 26 Feb this year And you'll have a good chance of nice weather.

Wow that's so cool Hopes, yes we moved the date three times, first Oct this year (just as well we moved it he he he), then had Jan and then thought in Feb this year, the weather is so much settled and warmer that we would have the wedding in Feb.

Feb is a lovely time of year for a wedding And you'll be all settled and in a routine with bubs by then!
I agree Hopes, i was still loving the movement at 26 weeks but then DD made her appearance so that was the end of that lol! She would always kick when I got into bed and would lay on my back - Dh would lie next to me and have his hand on my tummy and she'd boot the crap out of him!
You should def try the fettucine, its sooo yummy and really easy, let me know if you want the recipe
Had mince and cheese pie for dinner Got indigestion now lol!

Yep, please do let me know the recipe, it's such a common dish it's weird I've never made it.
Mmm... mince and cheese pies. I've become a big fan of pies this pregnancy - I dont' think it's cravings as much as the fact that I wouldn't buy one from a warmer just in case. Before I would have bought about one a year, but now I'm not allowed them I want them all the time So I've taken to buying the frozen ones I can heat myself. To, you know, make sure I'm not missing out
I had a miserable day yesterday - not something I can go into details about on the internet, but it was a sucky day and I ended up at home in fits of tears over it. And of course, I even felt a bit guilty for feeling so miserable when I've got so much, with this precious wee Bubs (I know so many ladies who would give up most anything else just to have that). (He is very sweet, by the way, his wee kicks were the only thing cheering me up). But, onwards and upwards, and I'm almost looking forward to work - I'll get to take my mind off things, and will treat myself to a brownie for breakfast (that's a sure way to make anyone feel better).

Aww Hopes, hope you are ok, don't feel guilty hun all these emotions that we go through. I've been battling with doubt, fear and anxiousness which is all completely normal and I think being sick has not helped my emotions. I've been worrying that bubs is still safe as my boobs don't seem as sore and I am sure the nausea has worn off a bit which should be a good thing but of course it worries me that everything is still as it should be.
I've read (LOL Dr google) that other woman have experienced the same thing as it's the hormones starting to settle down as the placenta starts to kick in. So hanging out for my mw appointment next week to hear the hb before my 12 week scan.
Hope everyone else is doing ok. Hugs
xxx
ETA that is soooo sweet and lovely that you can feel his little kicks, so special, gosh that pulls at the heart strings doesn't it.

Hey all,
Asics hope you are feeling okay - am sure everything is fine. I know how scary this stage is becuse you are so close to 12 weeks but not close enough aye hun! Good luck and will wait to hear how your midwife appt goes :)
Just had to share....maternity bra's........rock! I needed some new bra's plus I read somewhere that the earlier you get into them, the better because the underwire restricts the bloodflow or something and is not conducive to helping the milk flow...so I went shopping on the weekend and got a couple. They are SOOO comfy and they actually make my boobies look smaller which is GREAT cos mine are too big as it is (thankfully they don't seem to have grown at all so far during the pregnancy!). They aren't the prettiest things but who cares, DH can just deal with them Just feel way more supported and way less sore with them on.
Tomorrow I'm into the 2nd trimester, cool!
I watched a brilliant programme on Vibe (sky channel) last night, it was called "from here to maternity" and followed Australian couples going through the last few weeks of pregnancy right through to the actual births of their babies, and them taking them home. They even showed a caesarian and a water birth which was quite interesting (camera was angled from the Mum's head, not the other end!). It was just so awesome to watch the emotion of the couples and I am even more excited now about having my bubs!! DH was really interested too and got quite teary eyed when one of the babies was born :) I think it is a series so if you have Sky watch it next Sunday at 7.30!
Hope all are well xx

Wow Frankie, great news on the Maternity Bras, yes I think support is probably a good thing, my boobs have got sore again LOL!!!! I still think I will wait till 12 week scan though before I go and buy anything. I think I either had a dream or was thinking about how amazing it is going to feel to have bubs on the outside and that moment they are born and put on your skin. Admittedly I don't like to think about the labour bit yet (so many other hurdles to cross yet ha ha).
Very cool that you are in the second trimester tomorrow - yeaaaa Frankie.
We don't have sky but I'm sure there are probably DVD's we could watch, how cute your DH got all emotional.
Honestly I don't think the reality has hit me yet, I think after the scan it will hit home that I am pregnant and we are going to have a bubba. I haven't allowed myself to get excited or too far ahead of myself yet. I know when I do though it will blow my mind and I can't wait until I allow myself to be emotional and fall deeply in love with this baby. Hope you all know what I mean, boy oh boy could I just get all soppy about it. The time will come.

can't wait for you to have your scan and know all is well. Glad the sore boobies have come back. I know how nerve wracking it must be for you at the moment, wishing away the days until your scan (although yay that you get to hear the heartbeat first as a reassurance!).
I feel really confident now, I know things could still go wrong but the chance is so minimal that I'm not going to stress anymore. Its a nice feeling
