   Hi there
I wonder if any one has some advice on cradle cap, I did just read some posts on this but they did not really help our specific problem. My 3 month old has very bad cradle cap on his forehead. I am using aquaeous and sulphur cream on it at the moment and the Dr put him on antibiotics yesterday for it. I have found that oil makes it worse and am not sure the shampoo's would work on the forehead. He is a formula fed baby too. If anyone has any brilliant suggestions (or any kind of suggestions) I would be most grateful. Thanks

What sort of oil are you talking about having problems with? My eldest had very bad cradle cap on her head and eyebrows and olive or grapeseed oil worked well (not baby oil).. I guess it is a little different having it on the forehead though as you wouldn't comb it afterwards like you do on the scalp..

When Ashleigh had it (on her head) I put some olive oil on it, left for about 24 hrs then lightly scrubbed with a very soft bristle brush and washed. It worked really well and I can't see why it couldn't work on the forehead too?

I'm using Olive oil on DD's forehead. I was using the ordinary cooking olive oil we have in the house, but then started using the really good EV Olive Oil we have from Tuscany - and that works wonders! I'd recommend getting your hands on some good Olive Oil, its more natural as well...
 I hate Cradle crap!!

I used almond oil instead of soap for Jake as a baby. I was using a soft as baby flannel one night, when he was round your bubs age or abit younger, to wash his head and realised it was rubbing his cradlecap away. Never came back either |
