Has anyone else had cramping low down? I know things stretch etc. but I don't remember this painful cramping with DS. Don't want to worry MW if it's totally normal.

If you're concerned enough to ask then it's worth ringing your MW. It may well just be normal stretching and ligaments relaxing but we're not the experts

I had terrible cramps for a few weeks around the 20wk mark...so painful it took me all morning to be able to stand up straight. I talked to my MW and she wasn't particularly concerned, but it put my mind at ease having checked it with her. I ended up taking calcium & magnesium tablets, and they seem to have worked. But give your MW a call

I had really painful cramping on and off from about 25 weeks till the end - I did eventually talk to my MW, who suggested if anything was going to happen, it already would have!

sorry, not very helpful. I would say ask your MW if you are worried...but maybe it's something like irritable uterus (which is what i think I had).

I had really bad pain yesterday, like a stitch but worse. Hurt to stand up straight and got really bad before I went to bed. Kept a wheat bag on it and woke up just dandy this morning.

For me I decided to give it overnight and if it was still bad today call the MW but since I was grand and no problems today I'll just mention it at my next appt.

Hope yours goes away soon, it's no fun being sore

I started having intense cramping during erxercise last week.. it scared me.. it was so painful i started feeling sick then faint... not good. I called my specialist and she said i must have a sensitive uterus and small things set off Braxton Contractions... which can feel like menstrual cramps.. which these do.
They subsided once i stopped working out.. and I find that anything to do with stepping... even on the flat starts it off.
She said that if they start coming in a regular pattern thats when they get concerned.
its not fun though as I am fit and like working out but its painful!!!

I had really bad cramping around that time as well. My MW told me it was completely normal. Just ligaments stretching etc. Was really quite worrying at the time tho. RubySoho described it exactly how i described it to my mw.... like stitch, only worse!
Im sure u will be fine but I'd ask your mw just to put your mind at ease

I've had nasty cramps on and off throughout - they worry me every time I get them, but every time nothing bad has happened.

I wouldn't hesitate to call the MW if you're worried though - even if it's just to get a bit of reassurance.

They are worrying! I have been getting cramps just like period pain or early labour for a couple of weeks now. Totally freaks me out but I think i am just feeling braxton hicks nice and early (started at 19 weeks with Jake so hardly surprising its even earlier this time).

I think if your instinct tells you to get it checked, then just ring your mw.. that is what she is there for after all!
