Topic: CSection ladies??     Posted: 28 October 2006 at 2:05pm |

   Hey there,
I was just wondering...
Its been 7 weeks and 3 days since I had a csection and had alot of bleeding but told it was ok. It dissappeared and a few days ago I got some pain as in burning pain under the wound and some small amounts of bleeding. Today I have alot of bleeding. Thinking this time it could be my period (already??) Anyway My wound is still sore and burns. Also when Ive been sitting down I will get up and it will hurt. Anyone else still having pain after so long??

It takes a while for your insides to recover (it's major surgery as I keep being told). So expect to feel a bit odd and uncomfortable for a while. I still have a bit of "don't feel quite right" feelings and numbness around my belly but certainly not burning pains! I would see a Dr pronto to make sure all is well inside.

I'm assuming you mean blood from *down there* and not around the incision site?!???!
Everyone is different in regards to when their AFs return. I bleed until about 5 weeks after I had Caitlin, then had spotting on and off from about 10 weeks post op, finally got a proper AF last Friday (just in time for us to go away for the weekend )
Hope all is well for you Kelly

I would get it checked out, I only get a bit achy when I've done more physical exercise than I should have! (such as my huge walk this morning!) but no pain like you've described.
I did get an infection though so it is worth checking out!

I agree with the others. I never had a burning sensation so it would pay to get it checked out.

I agree with checking out that burning sensation, hope its okay tho.

I got my period back when Hannah was 3mos old. Apparently it is more likely to come back early after c/s than VB. In my case it was about the same with each birth... short answer is yes, you could already have AF back but it shouldn't be hurting you the way you described.

I didn't get the burning, but it was very tender, and kinda weepy for quite a while (sorry, mebbe TMI!!). Definitely get it checked if you are worried.
