I had the jab both times and it took me only a few minutes to deliver the placenta - had to push both times but it's nothing compared to having the bub.
I had the jab both times to speed it up as at this point I really just wanted it all over & done so I could concentrate on bubs
I had on my birth plan that I wanted to do it naturally, but that if mw thought it was necessary (medically) for the injection that I trusted her judgement. Because I was pushing for a long time (1 1/2 hours I think?? maybe more?) and I tore badly and was losing a bit of blood, I got the injection. I pushed a wee bit but not really, I was too focused on my boy, and yeah I barely even felt it - was nothing compared to the 39.5cm head!!
I probably already knew that but would've blocked it out as I would've been less than two weeks off giving birth when you pushed your wee monster out
I had the jab and the mw pressed downwards on my belly and it was out in 6 mins - I had no idea what she was up to as I was pre-occupied...
It wasn't until she held it up for me to see that I even knew it had come out...
