My daughter has had diarrhoea over night.  she is supposed to be having her birthday party tomorrow afternoon.  Is 24hours long enough afterwards of should I cancle?  don't really want to cancle.

well... To be safe you are ment to leave it 48 hours without any symptoms, That was the guidelines when i worked (in health).

But on the guidelines for kindy creche etc i think its only 24hours. So i guess you should just use your judgement on that one.

Hope she has a lovely birthday whatever you do.

Oh poor wee thing! Hope it all clears up and soon! I would probably go with the 24 hours as well! Hope you don't have to cancle her party!

She will probably be uncontagious by the party time but just be aware that her tum (and diahhorea) may not be completely settled down yet. Briona had some last week and she's still a bit slushy. Takes a while to get through her system.

ive always left it 48hrs before going out around others, but its a personal thing if you feel shes fine then 24hrs should be enough
