Ok so i was wondering what everyone elses veiw is on this and if they have experienced it...Its regarding the gender of our bubs that i am preggas with - right from the beginning iv had a debate with my almost 3 year old son! about what bubs is as i just have a feeling that its a boy! (although i was wrong with Bay who i was adament was a girl!) BUT heres the thing - Bailey is so sure its a girl! and hes very convincing!. I said to him " Are you looking forward to having a little brother?" (in all my optimism! lol) and he replied with a very serious and confussed look on his face "Yeah but its not a brother mumma, its my sister". And now if we even mention brother he corrects us.
I cant even say that it is his preference because before we got pregnant we asked him if he wanted a baby brother or sister and he said that he would love a brother and he stuck to that until we got pregnant.
Everyone else that has an opinion keep on saying that its a girl and i really dont mind what it is (i lean more towards a boy for bailey but a girl would be neat too) im just curious as to whether Bay really can sense what it is (sounds a bit crazy but im curious!).
I read an old wives tale that said young children mostly around the age of 4 and 5 will be spot on at predicting but who knows....

Well I don't have 2 kids, but I have heard about this quite a bit and the kids always seem to be right.

my husband's grandfather died when he was 3. About two days after he died he told his nana off for moving a pot plant or somthing and when she asked why, he told her that papa came and talked to him when he was sleeping. She reaked out and took him to a Maori doctor and he never talked about it again (he remembers nothing about this). kids are weird

might be a coincidence but my girls talked about kayla as a sister not a brother- then again it might be because they are both girls and dont have a brother? dunno... be interesting to see if yours is a wee girl

Wow there may be some truth to this theory after all! i can find out the gender in 4 weeks and i will definately be letting you all know
I cant remember anyone telling me that they "knew" what bubs was when i was preggas with Bay so this is quite interesting.....

kids also seem to know you are pregnant before you announce it...that is quite common too..
it may be wishful thinking but wouldnt it be cool if Bay is right?

Our 9 year old son came with us to the scan when we found out the gender. Everyone was hoping for a girl - even he was. But before it all started he looked at me and said "I really think it's a boy" and he was right. I think they do know.

I dont think its wishful thinking on my part lol as i was leaning more towards a boy but its wishful thinking that he might be able to predict that kind of stuff which would be quite handy! lol

I think they do know....
I have loads of stories like the one Liz mentioned...Lol freaky!!

When I was 8 my brother was born and unlike these days, Bangladesh didnt have scans so we had no idea what he was....I told my mum from day one it will be a boy and I was right!

I think its just the whole - 'trusting a 3yr olds judgement'! LOL! that gets me LOL!
I dont really trust my 'mothers intuition' either otherwise my son would be a daughter! lol
But i trust everyone elses intuition thats why its fun to hear what everyone else thinks

Hannah always referred to Krystiana as a baby girl/sister, before we knew for sure. I just thought she thought we can only "make" babies hehe. At one point she changed to a boy for about 2 weeks and then flicked back but by that point we had already told her it was a girl.
