And is there anything that you have done/taken that has helped?

My DH has been suffering from insomnia for the past couple of months now which is unusual for him as he has always slept well before. He goes to sleep fine but then wakes up about 2am and is awake the rest of the night. Makes for a very grumpy guy, so any tips would be appreciated

Insomnia-med by naturopharm, theres also a natural sleep well product at health shops, magnesium, or go see a naturopath or doc as thats what DH has had to do cause he suffers from it too

Oh poor Man and poor You!....It is horrible. Does he take advice well?
Has he got lots on and the moment....work, home...family?
From all the ups and downs I have had with Depression and Anxiety (highly underestimated word)....I find the only things that have worked is getting a book and reading.....Making sure to do some kind of exercise and writing down the thoughts in my head when I wake.

My Counsellor said that when this night waking happens it can be a lot of the time because our minds are so full. I would literally crash physically and emotionally exhausted at night and wake up 5 hours later...but wide wide awake full of life and running on adrenalin. Totally not normal. My mind was just too busy to do what it needed to do.

I try and keep on top and ahead of stuff now but I know it will happen now and then.
