LOL nah he doesn't, in fact he usually comes to bed a lot later than me... but FIL always used to - holding a cup of coffee and watching the news. And then stating that he didn't need a lot of sleep, could only sleep 5hrs each night! Um, something doesn't add up lol

Yep, mine too. He sleeps on the couch more often than in our bed, atm there's cricket on most night so he stays up for that. In the weekends it's the league or the rugby. I often leave a pillow and duvet out for him so if he does fall asleep he's comfy and warm.
Don't tell him but it actually doesn't bother me, I kind of like having the bed to myself.

Not anymore, but for the first 7 years of our relationship he did. He has sleep apnoea so he used to fall asleep anywhere and everywhere but now he has a CPAP machine when he sleeps and it's forced him into better sleep habits as well so he very rarely falls asleep on the couch these days.

Willie was a sitter for sleep apnoea - overweight, over 40, high BP and cholesterol and worked funny hours (he starts at 4am). But meds have got his BP/cholesterol under control and the CPAP has made a huge difference to his sleep, he has actually managed to lose 20kg just coz he's healthier overall.

Yes and it drives me mad I don't mind if he does it when I'm still up but he says he is going to stay up to watch sport on telly (cricket at the moment) and I know that literally 5 mins after I go to bed he will fall asleep! I got so annoyed last night as he had the gas heater roaring and its costing heaps to fill at the moment and not lasting long - and he wondered why i got sh!tty at him when I was trying to wake him up around 11pm. Why can't he just go to bed and sleep???

Yep mine too, I work evenings until about midnight, often come home to him asleep on the couch, though he does start work at 5am, and tries to stay up until the kids are asleep..lol he might as well be in bed.

Yeah DH often falls asleep on the couch, I usually wake him before I go to bed and he slowly gets up. It doesn't bother me as I know he also gets disturbed by Jack in the night but still has to get up at 6am whereas jack and I often sleep till 7.30am!

My DH would live there if he could!!! He normally nods off around 8.30, then will come to bed about 10. Sometimes though i've woken at around 1.00am to find him still on the couch.
We have 2 couches too, one big one little. He prefers the little couch, and he's rather tall He looks almost cute all curled up!

Generally not the couch, but if he is really tired the floor - which is a PITA

My DH falls asleep on the couch on the weekends - in the afternoons - if he can! Doesn't do it at night though

yep, and he's asleep there right now!! He usually drops off at about 830pm and its often really hard to wake him up so I turn everything off and go to bed (if its cold ill cover him) and he'll come in later asking me why I left him on the couch hehe. But its probably only a few nights a week and then always on a Sunday afternoon (watching league or football). He does work 12 hour days though so I don't mind at all.
