before we had Taine we were living in japan with jake. some of those who were on the boards at the time will remember that i was upset about coming back when we found out we were expecting Taine. I've nver regretted coming bacvk (nor having my boy) but sometimes wonder what would ave happened had we stayed. wake up call! the company i was working for got this HUGE fine from the government for fraudelent advertising and now over 400 schools will close (not inlcuding where i worked, but some schools that lew worked in) and as of today, no one has been paid (from the 15th). peiople are predicting the bankruptcy within the next month. scary thing is we still know people over there - over 7000 teachers will nbe out - the fight for any remaining positions with other jobs will be dealy fierce and our lovely students will have paid huge amounts of money without any chance of seeing it again. so I am right now thinking about how lucky it was that Taine came along - he "saved" us.

I saw the story about Nova on the news a while ago Liz and thought of you - so a big HURRAH for Taine! I have a lot of those "what if" moments too, which really make me realise how lucky I am to be where I am now.

DH and I looked into going on that programme. I had no trouble getting in as I had a degree in Japanese, we both went for interviews etc, but DH wasn't accepted because he hadn't completed a full degree. Then not long after that, we also fell pregnant! I'm glad that Ashlee happened
