Topic: Fertility Friend - Who is paying for VIP Posted: 10 January 2009 at 2:56pm |
Hi Ladies, I am just wondering whether anyone is paying the VIP membership versus the basic free one and what one is better to use.

I used to pay for it and it's quite useful with the tips etc and I liked the extras like the overlays and stuff like that. Trying to hold out and stick to the basic for now as I probably don't need it - but it's nice to have ;) if you're going to get it I'd wait till you get offered the discounted version - which is pretty often!!

Hi Chelle, thanks for that, I see at the moment they have a discount so I might do it, I've been using a excel spreadsheet which isn't as good and I thought a good idea to get others perspective on my charts etc, so might go for it. Thanks

I am also a VIP but not thinking of renewing it as it is adding up and think that I can do without all the extras. I think that it is largely up to how an experienced charter you are.

I've been charting for quite some time now but must admit for all that time I've used the VIP on FF. I like the DPO count it provides and the chart overlay and I see now as part of the VIP they also do a "Early Pregnancy Signs" graph/calculator which measures your marked signs/symptom against all those in their chart gallery - I'm sitting at 41% today . I was also able to put my membership on hold when I had my break at the end of last year... so as not to waste my money.
I don't mind paying what equates to about NZ$25 every 90 days as I don't spend anything on OPKs or any else each month (well, ok... maybe the odd HPT! )

I have VIP now - for the extra features it provides I like it. When my current 90 days runs out I will renew (if I don't have a BFP by then) because I like the DPO counter, and everything else.
Angie - the Early Pregnancy Signs is quite cool aye!! I'm at 59% at the moment, although I think a lot of it is from the nausea/cramps that I get before AF anyway

I think that's kind of confirmed it, I'll do the VIP, as I've been doing that spreadsheet thing I havn't been recording CM so have just started to record. I note that on my chart it say's I ovulated on Day 17 which is what I thought using excel sheet with temps etc. I wonder if FF put that day because it was the only day I put in EW. Who would have ever thought getting pregnant was not as easy as just having BD.

Not necessarily, I put in EW CM and still don't get my crosshairs (dammit LOL). There is a charting thread if you want to join that, a whole bunch of us support each other with charting

Best of luck Minik8e, and emmecat really awesome that you are pregnant again (and Rianna08 best Christmas pressie ever!!!) I cannot imagine what it would be like to MC and hopefully it won't happen. I turned 37 in October and have been with my man for a year, I have always wanted children but have wanted to find my 'one' and I finally did! So I already have a lot to be thankful for, a very loving man - yeah!!!

Hehe, that's a nice percentage jump Kate... mine's crept up to 43% today, but that's based soley on my horrid gassiness! And anyways, I'm only 7dpo so far to early to tell, so I'm not really putting any stead by it

I have VIP, and one of the best things I think is their message board, and being able to ask the FF Guides questions about your chart. They're really knowledgeable.
