Hey everyone, wasn't sure if this was worth starting a thread over but can't stop obsessing lol (I'm sure you'll know the feeling)

Well I've done 3 hpts now- 11, 12 and 13DPO and have been naughty and not thrown them away when there was nothing after 10 mins. I've been getting the FR dipsticks and they seem to be evap madness for me. But I just liked seeing those second lines there even knowing they didn't mean anything! Well I've been going back and looking at this morning's one (13DPO) and that old evap(?) has shown up after an hour whereas the other ones took nearly a day..

So my question is should I go out and get a more sensitive test or just keep waiting? I know I should be patient but what would you do?

And do you know if the FR dipsticks and midstreams have the same sensitivity?

TIA for any replies

I think midstreams are more sensitive... but they are both pretty good tests... haven't heard of evap lines on them....

Unfortunately I think it's a bit of a waiting game... good luck!!!!!

it took longer than 10mins for my BFP to show on a FR dip stick.... I had to put ALL the groceries away, and Vac the house so I was gone for a good half hour.

If that helps, and we know that wasn't a lie

Mid stream is definitely more sensitive than the dipstick. I got a very faint line on the dipstick and a definite line on the midstream on the same day

Sounds promising!

I got super faint lines outside of the 10min window with the dipstick ones and they got progressively darker and came up quicker each day. So I would recommend trying again in a day or 2 (sorry probably not what you wanted to hear!).

All the best

I only used FR for my +HPTs and never got Evap lines the first test took a while to come up with the second line, the other thing is evap lines will fade, +ve results wont.
ie: if you are still showing a line on your first +ve hpt test then chances are you are UTD.

the FR dip ones are pretty well known for giving evaps after time... the midstream don't as much. I for one had had heaps, and had them not that long after time! ones that look very convincing too, infact I got so annoyed with them I wrote to the company about them LOL... It very well could be the start of something, or could just be an evap (even if you are preg and it's too early)... they are pretty damn sensitive for picking up hcg, and often seem to pick it up at lower levels than 25 as many people here have experienced. But from my experience, the lovely pink looking evaps after time can mean nothing so best to just throw them out at ten minutes and not torture yourself... Fx your next test is a nice bright pink couple of lines in ten minutes!!! Good luck

Yeah I also have one that I kept from May (definitely was not pregnant) that I cranked out as reference. They look very similar if a bit more pinkish than that one.

Went to the supermarket and lo and behold the midstream ones are on special

FX I will know one way or the other in the morning

I have had so many evaps on those FR dip sticks, really hacked me off! and the evaps stayed there too, I definitely wasnt pregnant any of those times as I got AF bang on time.

The FR midstream tests however are awesome, never had evaps on those, just a plain negative or positive result. I got a positive on one of those at about 11 DPO with my DD. The dip sticks are great for picking up hcg if you are pregnant, but, they are also "awesome" for evaps.

Good Luck, I hope its a BFP for you this time

well I'm confused.. decided I wasn't that convinced I was gonna get a BFP and didn't wanna waste the good test just to get AF later on. Tested with my last dipstick and it showed like a shadow of a line- It's only just there, but it did come up within the timeframe. So I thought yippee! the midstream should at least show something a little darker than that!......No.
Same shadow of a line, I'm not really happy calling it a line, but not happy to say the background's completely white though either!

So I guess more waiting is in order

Well I got very impatient and just wanted a conclusive result- so went out and bought a discover. Stupid BFN. No trace of a line whatsoever. I'm pretty sure I'm 13DPO so a discover would definitely have shown something by now.

Feel like an idiot! Just waiting for AF now.

Thanks for all your well wishes
