What's the difference between normal formulas, 'gold' formulas and 'gold plus' formulas? Is it just marketing or is there actually a nutritional difference?

The gold plus has a fruit/vege extract in it that makes the bowel movements a lot softer and easier to pass as it slightly irritates the bowel. The extract they use is taken from foods like onion and banana.

Woops and I forgot to say that gold has Omega 3 fish oils and other "smart" proteins which enhances brain activity. The gold plus has this and the vege protein in it which helps the bowels move.

The gold formulas can tend to cause constipation, they are normally advertised as being for hungrier babies as well.

I sat on the floor of the supermarket one day and compared the tins contents... and have gone for the Heinz Nuture Gold. I found the one for hungrier babies caused him to get very constipated, this one so far has been really good.

we use gold too (s26)...the stage one constipated her a little but stage two has been awesome....think the plus one meant that she would spill less but never got that as once on formula she was more spilly anyways,.....
