Topic: Shoes . . . Posted: 05 November 2005 at 9:34pm |
Hey
Arna has a "in-toe gait" which means that her feet turn in and the problem is in her hips and should grow out of it by the time she is 4. However until then she needs to wear soft soled shoes and I have hunted high and low but can only find shoes to the size of infant 5 (she is a 5 - 6). Apart from slippers that look like night time slippers (have brought a couple in the past that look like shoes) I haven't been able to find anything suitable for her.
Anyone have any ideas on where I can go to either get shoes custom made or any suppliers / companies that have "funky" soft soled shoes??
Thanks

HAve you tried Bobux shoes? they are all leather soft soled shoes. You can look at the website, www.bobux.co.nz, also, you should be able to get them from baby/kids shops? They are pretty cool looking as well.Good Luck

Bobux are so great! Maya lived in them coz she was so young learning to walk that I didn't want her in hard shoes.

There is an interestin article in novembers littlies magazine (free at amcal chemists) about shoes, and advocating soft shoes with lots of room, apparently it only takes 3 weeks to damage baby/toddler feet.

I am a bit of a shoe nut. Maya has about 30 pairs... Some of my more expensive indulgences have been a pair of baby Puma's (about $70), a pair of gorgeous Hippy Flower Chuck Taylor All Stars ($65) and most recently a pair of Vans Off the Walls with pink checkers ($50).
Willie reckons we better have another baby quick so I stop spending so much $$$$$ on shoes for Maya!
Maya seems to have massive feet tho. She is 2 yrs 8 mths and her feet are a size 8-9. She has friends at daycare who are 3+ and still in size 7's. Must be her Daddy's side...

I know what you mean!! Arna is size 5 - 6 and she is 17 months, alot of the kids the same are size 4 or size 5 if it's a small 5... And daddy is size 11... Only time will tell!!

The Warehouse shoes seem to be on the small side. Some of Maya's size 8 Warehouse shoes are the same size as her sz 6's from other places, and her toes hang over the edge. She has such long skinny feet.

man, talk about HUGE feet!!! Xanders in an 8 and hes almost 2 yrs 6 mnths.his problem is hes got really wide feet across the top(so does his daddy) and i almost give up trying to find shoes to fit(doesnt help when he hates trying on shoes)
Harmony is kinda the opposite.shes got long narrow dainty feet lol so am assuming she will be in big shoe sizes due to length
