3 wheel vs 4 wheel push chairs

Any recommendations on what buggys are good to get? We've started looking for one & my husband likes the 3 wheel ones, but they seem kind of wide to me & I'm wondering whether the 4 wheel ones might be more compact & easier to get around shops? While we were in Farmers looking, a lady advised against one of the 3 wheel ones that she's got because she said it was a pain to fold down & was really large to try & get in the car boot. Anyone have any tips??

We did a pro's and con's list when we were buying prams...

Because we live in the country and I go for walks around the farm / on the races etc I needed something easy to steer and "all terrain" - Hence we went for the 3 wheeler. I got given a 4 wheel buggy when Arna was about 6 months old and used that one for town (which was pretty good) but have now got rid of it and am using the 3 wheel all the time. I used the 4 wheeler on the farm once and I tipped the buggy over and Arna hurt her head (just a bump) so I gave up!!

So think what you would use the pram for, town, walking / running, how often you would use it. If you want the baby in it from newborn (Some 3 wheelers you cant really use from newborn), if you want it interchangable (theres a awesome 3 wheeler where you can have that carry cot, carseat, pram and stroller) etc etc.

hi there as with what everyone above says. I have a double mount buggy style one for walking as well as a double fold down stroller. I wanted the big one cos i love going for long walks and its more comfy to use (as well as more comfy for the boys) for long walks but cannot fit in car so got the fold down stroller (4 wheel type) and my stroller you can lock the front wheels so they dont turn all over the place like super market trolleys so that maybe something to check out. This one is excellent for in town and short walking trips. but yeah when you are looking at them go for walks around the shop and if you have a friend with a spare child (lol) see if she can go with you and try the kids out in the prams/buggys as they feel so much more different with a childs weight in them - hope that makes sense lol

I have a steelcraft 3 wheeler that I love!!! But i must admit that it is bulky and nowadays with an active one year old, a bit diffcult to fold up and fold down. But...it is actually quite easy, just holding and folding is difficult....if you get my drift.
