Seeing it is only 1 week away now . What are your plans for the day??

We are opening presents at our place and then going around to the inlaws for lunch with the in laws and SIL and her partner. And then later that day my parents will call us, but if can get a webcam we will talk to them on MSN. Should be a great day.

I am going to try and stay off the computer all day as well, unless we get the webcam then I can go onto MSN only.

I was a puree feeder, forward facing, cot sleeping, pram pushing kind of Mum... and my kids survived!

Friends for dinner on Christmas eve. Church on Christmas morning then lunch with my little family (minus my sister ) then dinner with DH's side of the family. Elle is gonna be reeeeeeeeeeeeeeeally shattered by the end of the day!

DH's side of the family don't do presents so there won't be much present opening this year.

Going back home to Blenheim to visit my family! 2 weeks back home....

I'm not sure how Christmas will go, but normally there's church on Christmas Eve, fancy breakfast on the 25th (chocolates for breakfast!!!), presents, then church again. Then lunch (not sure what's for that this year), and then collapsing in a heap in a corner somewhere reading a book. Then swimming... and leftovers for dinner.

I CAN'T WAIT TO GO HOME!!!!!

Open a few pressies here (not many as we ahvn't bought Lily anything, though have some for her from others).

Then to the inlaws for the day, where we will all be insanely spoilt and well fed. We may even crash there the night if I feel like it. Yay!

Then boxing day we are packing for our camping trip!!
So excited!!

We are having 2 xmas's this year.

First one is on Sunday with the inlaws (*sigh* lol), no idea what is happening for that one.

But on xmas day we will open pressys.. theres tons to open because we put aside money throughout the year to kinda spoil ourselves and we have got Daniel some random stuff too. Then we are heading to my parents, have lunch there with mums side of the family, more pressys no doubt and then come home in the avo and do nothing!

We're getting up early to do presents with just our little family, then off to church with the inlaws. Lunch and presents with the inlaws, home for a (no doubt much needed) sleep then on to my family for dinner and MORE pressies!
Exciting!

Woohoo about your shift swap Paws! Would have been too sad if you had to miss Christmas day with Maddie and the family!

Cathrine, if you get bored in Blenvegas over Xmas, we could do a meet up!

This sunday, we are going over to my Dads sisters in Nelson for a family Chrsitmas, which we are really lookng forward to, then Christmas eve day, we will go into towna nd get crazy off all the crazy people (gets me inthe spirit!) Will wake the kids about 9.30pm and drive round looking at the lights, then off to Church. Christmas morning up early, open pressies, get food ready etc, got a few waifs and strays coming, and Mum for a big chrissy lunch with all the trimmings, CAN'T WAIT!!!!

We're off to Sydney tomorrow to spend a month with Mum and Dad. Xmas Eve we always go to the family service at church, it's beautiful, all the kids dress up like angels and shepherds and some of the kids from the school act out the nativity etc. Then Xmas Day we have Santa presents when the kids wake, then we'll have a late breakfast to keep us going till the big Xmas feed at about 4pm. We usually eat about 2pm but my brother is working so we're waiting for him to knock off. Then pressies under the tree after the feed.

We were going to have Christmas at our place this year with one of Grants friends and there family coming over and another one of our friends. (all the new migrants that have only been here for less than a year.)

However Grant's Aunt invited us (the whole bunch) over to there place. Something about a roast in the webber and the veggies in the oven. I am not about to complain as this means no cleaning for me to do beforehand. Whoo hoo. Just have to make the trifle (or lets say make two.)

We open pressies in the morning after breakfast, except for one small one on the foot of the kiddy bed for McKayla usually. For breakfast we are having some waffles with chocolate and strawberries and cream and ice cream. Mmmmm yummy still need to go buy a waffle pan.

And then at night it is just quiet time together (trying to still digest food.)

Paws, thats great you dont have to work now!!

We are just having santa sack pressies in the morning, possibly go to church with MIL, then we are having lunch with my family (mum, dad, brother, SIL and their 3 kids) at my house. Am hoping to hold out on the pressies until after lunch, but my neice and nephews arent used to that so may have to be before lunch. IL's and their extended family coming for leftovers dinner.

We are staying put this year.. hanging out at home, had comrpomised and said to mum we will go for lunch since rest of family have deserted her - however i told her no big stress-out feast.. chicken sammies and relaxing is all we are up for. then home for afternoon to spend time with our girls. Am over the constant travelling to se others when they never do it for us. if they want to see us this year then they'll come to us.
