My DH has. I was suppose to go, along with a whole bunch of friends. But Jett needs me, so I wasn't going anywhere. It will be such an awesome day up there, bit hot maybe which would make me grumpy, but SOO much fun!!!

I went to the BDO in 2000 and I so think that was the best one ever.

Funny becks! That's the only one I've been too as well. I agree, that was definitely the best one - had so many great international bands, this year there is Rage, but mostly just kiwiana bands which are good, but I can see them anytime.

It was the best 10.30 at night and the Chillis on stage and then we popped into the Boiler Room after they finished to dance to the Chemical Brothers. I got rotten drunk after it as well. We went up there in a big group (there was about 30 of us from Feilding) and we had the best time. Probably wasn't a good look on Sunday when we got up as we were staying at a church hall and the state of us when the people arrived for church . But we had a great time.

Yep my Dh is leaving here in about an hour. Won't see till after midnight tonight, as he's staying to see Supergroove who are the last band on. He's really only going to see Rage.

It's clouded over here, and the wind has picked up, so hopefully it won't be too hot. Last year was horrible, I got so sunburnt and I was pregnant too!!

Mine is -- but he says, "All the good bands are this evening," so he's not even leaving home until 2pm. He's also going to that two-night concert in Wellington over Easter weekend, AND we're going to see the Police tomorrow night, so I suspect he is going to be singing in his sleep this first few months of the year!

I went last year and had a blast - we had tickets to the East Lounge which is basically like a corporate area where you have your own bar, clean toilets and your own table. Its BDO for grown ups.  I was preg with Ollie at the time and didnt even know it.....good  job I didnt miss behave too badly! I have been to most of them since they started, think I only missed 2 of them whilst we were overseas. My brother is crewing for a band today so got in for free - lucky toad!!

I've texted my Dh a while ago to see how it was going. Haven't heard back. Guessing he's not checking his phone for my messages! He'll be drinking, hanging out with his mates & having way too much fun to be texting me!

I hope it's WAY too hot up there & No clouds (he hates the sun, Maori boy who hates going black!! haha) & he's finding it so unbearable he's thinking he'd rather be home inside, out of the sun, & drinking a COLD heini or steini instead of warm tui.

Haha - YEAH RIGHT!

Same here Mel, finally got a reply to my text to him, all he said was "2 hot gettin burnt". Haha, funny. Well I'm not envious of that. It's SOO hot at home & I've got shelter. MIL arrived about 3pm. She has now taken older 2 down to shops to get groceries, yay saves me a trip. We're going to the beach to have dinner tonight. Too hot to cook and at least the beach has a breeze!

Is C4 broadcasting from BDO? I just turned it on to see, but nothing on yet...

We live probably not even 10mins away from the Stadium and I have to say that it's freak'n hot for some reason. I've got all of the curtains closed, the fans on and I'm still boiling.

Cooper is on the floor with no clothes on with a cold flannel on his tummy, oh ok now he's sucking it!

DH has moved to the other stand now, as the sun is streaming in to the newer East Stand.
It's not very loud either, because I can normally hear concerts from our place, not today though, maybe later tonight.

I haven't gone to one, I don't really like large crouds, but my brother goes to it every year. Rather impressive since he lives in Dunedin. Him + mates usually get a van and drive up, and take the ferry... bit of a long trip!

The one I went to it was so hot the next day I was a nice shade of brown.

I will be flicking through the channels tonight - not all that keen on watching the E true hollywood story on Britney.
