Topic: this might be on the wrong board but... Posted: 14 January 2006 at 12:49pm |
Anybody have any getting over jet lag tips? I'm sore as, feeling spinny (like I'm still on the plane), and even more exhausted than normal. Just got home from doing the groceries, and feel like a creature from outer space LOL
Am going to have a shower, but am trying not to nap because I want to try and get back into the 'clock' cycle here asap coz of work !
Any advice greatly appreciated....
Yours in wooziness

I had that when I got back from the cruise.
Going up we lost an hour one day...then another one the next day...coming back gained an hour one day and another the next day.
I thought it would be easier but by the time we got back here my body was stuffed! Then for the next few days I kept feeling like I was still on the ship and was swaying....
The only thing that worked for me was to give in and nap.

LOL Naughty girl posting at work
I'm not too far off caving in to be honest... so long as I don't zzzz for the whole rest of the day !
This spinny thing is the worst... argh
What is good though is being able to have all the windows the doors open with a nice breeze coming through

No miracle cure unfortunately but I do always find it easier coming into summer. Helps the body adjust quicker I find...

Actually that's what I forgot to mention ! We didn't get ANY jet lag on the way *in* to Canada, but maybe that's because we traveled almost exactly a whole 24 hours... maybe the weather didn't have anything to do with it, I didn't think about that

I often had a nap - but tried to make sure it was no more than 30 minutes and tried to keep as much to a regular routine as possible. I didn't find jet lag too much of a problem, but did notice a big differnce with jake. He had a hard time adjusting adn was grumpy for several days - once again, naps came in handy.

Drink plenty of water as you could be a little dehydrated from the flight. A good sleep tonight and you should feel lots better tomorrow

Ok so I'm not feeling spinny anymore, which is good, coz that was the worst ! Crashed out just after 10pm, with TWO bloody pee breaks LOL Anyhow, the only thing is now that I am still feeling super-exhausted, plus my ears hurt and my head feels like it's filled with lead ! Contemplating calling in sick tomorrow so I don't go back and give a poor show of it, and might even see a doc... Plus my back still seems to be 'out' a bit, and I can't really judge how much of it is being pg and how much is from the stupid airplane seats. *whine whine moan moan* Ok all done for now LOL
