   So for the past few months I have been frantically looking up the education gazette applying for jobs and collecting letters htat say "we regret to inform you...".  I photocopied my cv, sent it out to every school within the manawatu districty - including Marton, Bulls and Dannevirke.  Anyway, last night got a phone call from a local school.  their new teacher can't start until term 2 and the current teacher just told them she isn't coming back so they asked me in for an interview.  The interview was less "interview" and more "please take the job" where they introduced me to the staff there and showed me my office.  Tonight they rang and formally offered me the job.  The cool thing is it was originally part time, but I am subsidised by MOE to have an 80% load (basically 4 classes) - so they are going to give me another class so i can get full time wages.  Now this is only for term one, but they also asked if I would be interested in teaching a group of Japanese students ESOL for six months.

So am stoked that I have finally got a job, and that getting off my butt and spending over $30 to copy and post those damn cvs paid off.  AND don't have to be an overpaid checkout girl anymore!  YAH!!!!!
