Topic: What are you going to do with the $14mil Posted: 20 March 2008 at 9:45pm |
if you win it this weekend? Aaaaahhhhh, dreams are free!
But seriously, I would pay off the mortgages of everyone I know, buy a few cars (yes, a few), which means I will need a bigger garage, take DS to visit his Great Nana in Oz as she has never seen him. Oh, and never worry about the fact that I resigned today ever again!

Ummm...lets see....the usual....get debt free...help friends and family out...contribute to some sort of church project....buy a house/car/whole new wardrobe (from overseas) and do the huge worldwide holiday thing (to buy said new wardrobe because I could afford the shipping charges and excess baggage)...think that is about it.

You resigned today? Well then you deserve to win - it's always horrible resigning.
I have to make that choice soon too
Edit to add: We'd by an Aston Marton for DH - then he could never again contemplate naming future sons after the object of his affections.

Hmm.... retreat away into the country, buy 12 million dollars worth of land, build our own small house, and plant our own native reserve.

LOL mum has already worked out how she would give notice LOL!!!!
weird but one of the first things that i would want to do - and have thught about for months - is to be an elevator in the house of the elderly couple in papakura who havent got one and who are stuck on separate floors of their house...been in news and in papers etc and evvry time i see lotto i think...I would arrange for one to be put in right away for them...and wonder why noone has done it yet...
BTW i won 2nd division once...a bad week one really as shared with HEAPS of people...I went out and bought...wait for it....
new pillows....yep that was all i could think of LOL!!!

If I had unlimited funds I'd quit work, pay off the mortgage and invest the rest in a way that it would pay our living exp for the rest of our lives. Then I'd foster/adopt more kiddies and do it jointly with DH!

I would build the north canterbury animal rescue centre. I would also build a kennels and cattery and use the money from that to run the rescue centre. DH wants to be a chicken farmer

Oh, come on! You guys are all far too sensible.
What is something you've always wanted to do, and could do with the right amount of money?
Does anyone remember the playdough kit, Snackshop? When I used to play with it, I would dream of one day owning a real life ice-cream parlour and sell hot dogs and burgers and chips! mmmmmmmmmmm

Sorry guys. I am buying the winning ticket on Saturday 3 people I worked with have won 1st division and it is now my turn
When (not if) I win apart from the boring stuff I would buy an tropical island, deck it out with everything I ever wanted, and maybe even let DH have a motorcross bike

i would get debt free, buy an investment property, a new car, a home at a beach, and new bedroom furniture for us,tash and most likely the twins, buy our own farm(but put a manager on it so we can live at the beach, make a donation to a few of our favourite charities, and shop with a certian ammount and then i guess invest the rest and have some put away for the kids education.
i actually think df would keep working though. i seriously doubt he not be able to not work. he would have to be doing something more then just fishing all day every day.

this is where I think big wednesday is the one to win (but not now as it is pathetic at the mo) but you get all the toys and then you have the money left to invest.
