Topic: yellow sick?     Posted: 02 April 2008 at 9:26am |

Harry is normally quite a spilly baby, but last night he spilled more than usual and this morning his sickie was yellow... like fluro yellow. What does this mean? Is he getting a cold or something? He has no other signs of being sick, he's quite happy and skin etc a normal colour.

TIA

I would've said it could be his stomach acid/bile coming up if he had been spewing a lot but I thought that was a more greenish colour. Not much help sorry. Have you called heathline?

Sounds weird. I'd give healthline a call too.

It does sound like bile apart from the fluro part lol

Yeah I'll give them a call... he's since sickied again a few times (just little bits) and it's normal so I wonder if it was just one of those random things...

Since he's happy don't stress yourself out too much. Hope the doc can reassure you now though!

Michaela used to spill canary yellow sick which I was told was the cream of my milk - basically because I stopped letting her fall asleep at the breat she would continue suckling as long as she could. Sh was eating so much, making herself sick and then eating again (little fatty).

Hope it's something as simple as that.

Edited to add: to stop her from sicking up the cream I had to start timing her feeds and she was only allowed a certain amount on each side at each feed.

Thanks guys - he's all good, Dr checked him over and said he was fine. It could be a slight upset tummy but he's feeding normally and not dehydrated, so to just carry on feeding often.

Thanks Freesia, yep just got home and popped on so I could update...cos the docs is at the shops, I stayed there for a bit and met my mum and sis for lunch (ya know, once you make the effort to go out you kinda want to make it worthwhile!)

Glad to hear everything is fine I totally understand about wanting to make outings worthwhile. I try and get a few things done at once as well because you can't just pop out anymore.
