Just something thats been going through my mind alot...when i had my scan the lady said 99% she was a girl and showed us the lines etc we were 18w4days. How many people have been scanned and then when baby was born finding out baby is a different sex? Im so paranoid lol

i was told twice with my first daughter she would be a girl but told each time that it wasnt 100% so i kinda knew she would be a girl but still a bit paranoid.... then with my second i was told she was most likely a girl too, but again not 100%.
after seeing my sisters scan of her boy and loking at my two girls scans it is pretty obvious, but i guess its always at the back of your mind! i went out and brought a few boys clothes the night before i was induced just in case!

my cousin who has 3 kids, was told with the last two that they were both girls and they were wrong both times, but this is the only one i know about.
i was really paranoid as well, i found out at 20wks that they were 90% sure i was having a girl, but it was confirmed on monday when i had another scan and the tech said to me, oh you know your having a girl dont you ....lol

but until then i was paranoid that it was wrong, and told ppl to if they wanted to buy anything for baby to make it neutral so if the scan was wrong at least i wasnt dressing a boy all in pink...lol

I was told baby was a girl at a scan at 16 weeks, but that it's a boy at a scan at 24 weeks. Apparently the labia and testes look almost identical early on......

Yeah, I'd trust her - 99% sure is pretty darn sure And our scan was at 16 weeks, not 18 so I reckon you'll be safe buying pink |

Kobe was very obviously a boy at the 18 week scan, he was on hands and knees so it was all hanging down. This time we saw the 3 lines and the lady was pretty positive it was a girl but said there was always room for error with girls. As she put it there was a hamburger rather than a hotdog!

hamburger lol thats what they said to me too.
I knew of 2 girls who were due at the same time and "JO" was told she was having a girl and "MARY" was told boy-but when their babies were born an hour apart they were the other way round-so they swapped clothes etc-true story

I had my 20 week scan the other day and the naughty baby had its legs crossed, however the lady still said it was about a 90% chance we're having a girl. She said the balls and stuff usually can be seen hanging from the back view, but there was nothing there so I guess it's either a girl or a boy with small bits!!
And I was dying to know for sure!!

hehe yeh i had another look at the scan and saw all the lines for a girl so i know we are having a girl for sure Its just such a scary prospect that you can be told girl and a boy could be born ya know?

I am finding out on thursday I hope Really don't care myself what it is as long as He/She is healthy. However I am feeling a bit of pressure for it to be a girl ass I have a boy and baby is due about the sametime as my MIL birthday so the family is hoping for a girl so she can be after got Granma (granma passed away on new years morning). Anyway I was told by lots of people not to find out casue they can be wrong, but hey they weere sure with Alan and I won't believe trhem tihs time unless the say 100% with this one.

i am with you, not with pressure, but my grandma passed away a few months ago and i would soooo love to honour her by naming this baby after her if it is a girl.
but would be happy with a boy too..... i already do have two girls.
