Mike's parents pay his life insurance still, no health insurance on any of us, and no will... don't really have that much stuff, and I doubt our parents are about to fight over it if we're dead, just not that type of people.

We both have life insurance, is common sense when you have a mortgage etc but have never got round to writing a will. Really should, but its so morbid.

We don't have life ins at the moment, but it is on the cards when our income goes up a bit. I have a will that SERIOUSLY needs updating, it's about 4 years old and things have changed well and truly since then. DF doesn't have one. Now that we own a house, we really should, otherwise if we both died, our parents would own half shares in our house....or if one died, they'd be half owners with the in-laws...

We got life ins as part of getting our mortgage.

We both have wills too (Have had them a while)

That reminds me I'll need to update it once bubs is born.

Personally I wouldn't be without either. As DH is the income provider and does a lot of travelling, it is reassuring that if anything happens, the mortgage is paid off, plus I get some living expenses (not that I ever want to be in a position to claim it!)

We have life insurance and wills, we wanted to make sure that if one of us dies then the other will be taken care of (house paid off and a little extra)and in the event that both of us die then we know who the kids will go to and will be looked after financially too.

We have life insurance and health insurance, DH has super and we have wills, although these now need to be updated to allow for guardianship of kiddly. We'll be doing that, as well as powers of attorney in the next short while. Our life insurance is enough to ensure that kiddly will be very well provided for and that kiddly's guardians will be put under no financial pressure in taking him or her in, and also that they could keep our house as an investment if they wanted to, mortgage free.

We have life insurance though DH's needs to be upped as it was based around our old mortgage not our new one. Mine probably needs a little updating too but it's not bad.

We need to get around to a will though but its a contenious issue with DH and I when it comes to who will get guardianship of daniel.

DH and I both have life insurance and wills. We did this before we planned to have a child, just in case either of us died, and to make sure we are looked after financially.

But once the baby is born, we will be updating our wills again, to take that into consideration.

We have life Ins, health ins and out of date wills.  Apparently they are nul and void when you get married....need to get onto that.  We also have a relationship property agreement that I would like to rip up as its not appropriate anymore.  Oh and powers of attorney as well

I have a will from when we brought the house and our lawyer told me it was fine - must check that it is still ok in my maiden name.

Ok so yes we havea will, got it when we got the house. Don't have life insurance thou (is something we talk about all the time), but DH does has something through the army.

I was a puree feeder, forward facing, cot sleeping, pram pushing kind of Mum... and my kids survived!

My DH and I both have wills, but will need to update it for the baby.

As for Life Insurance, I have a lovely pile at home, to try and find the best plan.

I have full medical insurance through my work for my DH aswell, I wonder if they will let me put bubs on there too, that will have to wait till materinty leave is over.

We sorted out our Life insurance and Wills when we brought our house. The lawyer wrote it nicely so that it includes any future children without rewriting.

We also have Health insurance through DH's work.

Life insurance is one of those things that was important to me so that if anything happened to either of us we dont have to worry about how to make ends meet in a rush.

Becks - Nigel should be completely covered through the army as he won't qualify for life insurance anywhere else.

So yes DH has life insurance and he doesn't have medical as the army pays. I've got both (mum pays) as I'm so much of a disaster medically that it would be stupid not to have it.

We have wills but at the moment we have new ones to update with Jack included, just haven't got round to signing them yet as we keep forgetting when friends are over.

IMO if you have kids, its kind of weird not to have some form of life insurance and a will. You can't just go by on the thought that everything will be fine if you did die. Like for us Jack goes to my parents, not the inlaws as we don't want him going there, but they would probably fight for joint custody if we both died without a will.

We had to get life insurance before they would give us a mortgage - but I do really like having it there for "back-up".

We're halfway through writing our wills now - didn't bother before i got pregnant cause all we really had of value was our house, but now its more about who's going to look after the kids if we both die at the same time...

Not to be morbid or anything but it's definately worthwhile having something in place -- I used to work in a law firm and we had a client who's (young) husband died in a freak accident the month after their first baby was born. they'd been married less than a year and cause the farm was in his name and he didn't have life insurance there were all sorts of issues.

We have both got life insurance, toegther with the mortgage - I do find it reassuring to know that we are sorted if anything happens.  We don't have a will yet, mostly because we can't decide what we would want done with Luke...

Yeah I did think the army would cover him if anything happened.

We are bad and don't really have either. I've currently got some life ins thru my job, but I will probably resign. It seems a lot of $$ for something you will never really need.

We've both got some superannuation, which would cover our current mortgage, but we would need life ins when we get a bigger house and mortgage.

I did a will online when I was pregnant, but no-one would know where to find it if I croaked! We can't really agree who would take A if we both died - I think my mother and DP thinks his brother. I thought it was an important point raised by Ginger about making sure the people that take your baby get some money to help make it easier for them.

Yah we got Life insurance but only to cover mortgage (If one of us dies)...I want to put it up!!

If both of us die there would be money for who ever ends up looking after our kids...In our case I think BIL.

We have health Insurance..but no will!
