I keep hearing all about the human and conservational toll that this Olympics has had which has kinda taken the gleam off for me but I do love watching the opening ceremonies (and Olympics always means my birthday's soon ).
GO NZ!!!

I love the Olympics but we lost our TV One reception a few weeks ago so I won't be able to watch it unless I do it online which will go way over our limit. We even just bought some rabbit ear aerials tonight to try and pick it up but it didn't work so no Olympics for me.

I like the beginning of the olympics... the table is clear of medals, everyone is so hopeful... no one really knows how its going to pan out (especially since everyone is striving for gold). There always the underdog (usually from a country whos never had a gold medal before) who defys all odds and gets the gold. Sounds corny I know, love it tho.
GO NZ!!!!!! ALL THE WAY BABY!!

I've always loved the Olympics too - specially the gymnastics!
I've been a bit put off this time with all the human rights abuses and environmental stuff going on in China .. but I still love the Olympics itself. Can't help it
I just got in and I'm watching the Opening Ceremony .... just saw Mynamar's 6-person team (so cool that they're there) followed by Switzerland and Roger Federer bearing their flag. NZ not toooo far away from coming out.
And, I'm sure I'm not going crazy, but I think we've got the NZ commentary team on our TV coverage here in Singapore??? Woooo speaking of Singapore - here they are ...
Followed by ..... NEW ZEALAND! YAHOO!!!! GO KIWIS
(Still can't believe they're wearing crocs)
