Im 39 weeks along and all day my baby has been moving like crazy! I thought movement was supposed to decrease by this stage? is this a cause for concern?

Whenever I was monitored at the hospital they always commented on how happy baby was because of the amount of movement, no one ever said it was anything to be concerned about. Perhaps bubs is having one last party inside before labour starts.

I asked a similar question a week or so ago(and got lots of reassuring answers - will be further down this forum somewhere) - and I asked my MW and she said it is all good to have lots of movement

lotsa movements is good! I dont think the NUMBER of movements is supposed to decrease, just the SIZE of them...as baby doesn't have as much room. You must have a very healthy baby- congrats!

my MW said that the baby should move just as much towards the end but the kicks and stuff will be more like prods as the baby doesnt have the room to kick out hard, thye sort of push out and stuff, if that makes sense lol

Caden was active right up until they took him out during the c section! lol The kid never stopped kicking hehe

Heaps of movements is a great thing now if your bubs movements decreased heaps then you should be concerned but bubs sounds happy and just having his/her last party before times up and bubs has to move out, LOL, Good Luck...
