Which HPTs give the earliest results? Has anyone had an early BFP with a particular brand?

I'm not meant to test til Monday but I'm impatient by nature.

Clear blue gave me a positive 4 or 5 days before AF was due and my hcg was very low (less than 30)

first response are pretty good and require less HCG than clear blue. it is different for everyone and i didnt get my BFP till using a first response at 17dpo. there is a table of tests and listings on the 2ww thread somewhere in the last month i think

The most sensitive test is the Discover One Step, from the chemist. It's about $18 for one, and $23 for two....detects HCG levels from 15 upwards.

MDS quickcards pick up levels of 25 which is very low. I tested early this time and with my m/c and got pos results. New world were selling them with one extra free in the packet as well, and they are what the Canterbury district health board use so they must be pretty good.

Good luck

I've found the MDS ones the best too, but have never seen them in a supermarket.
I also used a clearblue once a few days before af was due, got a positive, and then started bleeding just as/after af was due. So was a chemical pregnancy. So testing too early can lead to sad outcomes sometimes....so don't test too early.

I buy mine on the net www.fertilitysolutions.com.au they are 10IU HCG and cost about $2 each (you buy big packs)
They have ovulation tests too but these are a bit dearer.
Anyway I reckon they are great, because so cheap and they say you can test at 10DPO, but I think that depends on you as some people home tests don't work for until CD42 (apparently I'm one of them)
anyway hope that saves some of you $$$ I used to spend $20 each test and that was just crazy!

10IU is the lowest I've ever seen them. I wouldn't recommened this because a women can get an hcg of 18 and still not be pregnant.
Be wary of where you are buying these test. And again, don't test too early.

I just used Discover One step- came up clear as a whistle nice and quick- no waiting around like First Response (for me) then not knowing if its really acurate.
I dont know whether to believe the results if they take ages- thats just me being paranoid though :)

A chemical pregnancy is a very early miscarriage, before there is a heart beat.

I think it's a stupid name, to be honest, as if it's less than any other pregnancy.
