Topic: Pams nappies Posted: 11 September 2008 at 7:39pm |
Does anyone out there use Pam's nappies? If so are they good?
I have just been sent some vouchers for them - $5 a pack instead of $9 or $10. Very tempting but I was wondering how they compare to Huggies or Treasures?

Have used them and they have been fine for daytime but I haven't trusted them for long nighttime sleeps.

I think they're great. We only use them for night and daycare as she is in cloth the rest of the time, but they last her 12 hours at night on her tummy. Its the Pams Ultra we use though, don't know if thats different...?

Thanks for that - I think that I will try them as it is a good price but will use Huggies at night. I think it is for the regular ones though, not the ultra.

Pams are made by treasures ( or they were at the time of the last Chch parent & child show) and there is a big difference between the normal pams and the ultra - same as with the giggles and ultra treasures. I found them better than the giggles and the ultra were good for the night until their bladders seemed to double in size so they used to overflow, but always found them to be a reliable nappy

We've found Pams nappies fantastic! We didn't stick with Huggies because they left red marks on Ashlee's legs, so went with Treasures Ultra, but decided to test out Pams simply because of the cost. They're definitely better than Giggles. We've used them at night now for a long time and so far, no leaks!

Pam's are still made by the same company as Treasures.
Pam's ultimate are on par with Treasures Ultra. The actual nappy part and absorbency are supposed to be the same but the design and fit might be slightly different.
Pam's Budget are on par with Treasures Giggles and the same goes in terms of absorbency, design and fit.

Yup i use Pams Ultra and they are really good, but Bree has just started leaking through them at night as she sleeps on her tummy so i use huggies at night.
The cheaper pams were good when Briahna was younger as i guess she didnt pee as much lol.

We use the regular ones as daytime nappies, have done pretty much since 5m/o when Huggies started to get to expensive to be a full time nappy.

Pams is not the same as Budget, Pam's has the SAP gel in it like Treasures Ultra/Nannies/Huggies and Budget is the weave/padding like Treasures Giggles. Huggies/TU and Nannies have a higher concentration of the SAP gel though. Pams Ultra are more like TU but are lower in price, I wouldn't use them as an ON nappy though if you have a heavy wetter.

Peace, I wasn't actually saying that Pam's are the same as Budget sorry.
What I was saying (not very clearly) is there are different types of Pam's nappies. We do the Ultimate and then we do the cherish (it's loaded as Pams budget on our system and I'm used to calling it that).
And yes, Budget are definitely different.

Ive got a pack of Pams nappies but havent used them yet, I might not now if they are along the same lines as treasures cos treasures were useless on Caden he wee'd and poo'd thought them!
He has to have huggies, they have never failed me. I use woolworth brand "Select" during the day and they are fantastic! He has the huggies at night cos they arnt cheap!

Hands down reccomend pams nappies. I use a size bigger. My daughter wears toddler instead of crawler. $15 for a big 50 pack. No leaks ever, day and night. I used to be a die hard huggies user till i tried these. Theyre better than huggies, rascal n friends or treasures in my opiinion.
