Topic: Lollies you used to love as a kid... Posted: 19 September 2008 at 11:34am |
Was thinking about this, after reading the other thread about snifters and sparkles being taken away (why?!).
What did you love as a child? When I was little, my best friend would come over to my house every Friday afternoon after school and we both got $1 to spend at the local dairy/store...just thinking about what we used to get.
Mine:
-Raspberry Sparkles
-Snifters
-Those long sherbet tubes
-Short circuits- I loved the HOT ones, friend liked the sour ones.
-Hubba Bubba bubble gum
-Fizzy wheels
I'm sure there were probably more, but that's all I can think of.
Anyone else remember?

Oh, and K bars. I remember I used to eat them in a really bizarre way.
Tangy fruits were only for movies.

I used to love snifters and minties. They make me feel sick now cos i used to eat so much while traveling in the car and I associate the smell of them with feeling sick :P
I also loved eskimoes...mmmmm - still do
And anything with chocolate, jaffas, pebbles..
I really am not a sweets person anymore but I remember how fun it used to be to go to partys and eat all the fun stuff.

We used to sit on the kbars during class so that by lunchtime they'd be nice and soft.
One of my favourites were pink elephants - a jelly lollie that tasted spearminty.

OMG! Someone else remembers the pink elephants!!! No one I have ever spoken to about childhood lollies could recall the pink elephants. They were definitely one of my favourites and people would look at me weird when I mentioned the pink elephants. Way to go Freesia!
