I just saw that advertised this weekend.  I'm keen to hear from anyone that's tried it  too.

I have a couple of friends with them and we quite often go around and play. DH really wants one but theres not enough space in our lounge.

Its a lot of fun, usually better with more people. I think its alot better for the guys getting up and moving around as apposed to just sitting there for hours like on the playstation. I do end up quite tired and puffed after a good game of Wii Tennis.
Havent tried Wii Fit, but that looks alright if you are wanting to keep fit.

My friends DH has one, and when I asked about if he jumped around playing the games i.e. tennis..she said no, he still would lie on the couch and just flick his wrist to hit the ball..hehe

we have one. DH loves it and would play all day if i let him. i think its better if you have kids. i couldnt get the lazy poo bums off the couch and now we have one they go nuts. kids arent clever enough to figure out you can sit down but its harder to play anyway. lol. DH plays it properly cos he thinks it is a cop out otherwise. our mates have wii fit and its really good too. the only things is that realistically if you cant stick to an exercise program a wii isnt going to make you just cos its fun. novelty wears off anything but its still fun to do so if your looking for a game i would go for it, just not if its purely a motivation to exercise thing, that has to come from inside (thats the personal trainer part of me talking )

Lol thanks Monikah!

I get plenty of exercise as it is now walk 6 days a week, play netball 2 days a week etc - but just wanted to add something fun in there as well.

I love aerobics classes, but just find it a mission to get there type thing, so thought maybe this would be the go.

I love love love eyetoy so thought this was along the same sort of lines?

We have a Wii and I LOVE it. We don't have Wii Fit yet as it's sold out in most shops here, but I am super keen on getting it when we can.

The Wii Sports games (tennis, bowling, golf, boxing, baseball) are great and a decent workout on their own IMO. I find I still get sore arms after boxing or baseball (only play every once in a while) from using different muscles!

Sure, the novelty has worn off a little bit, and like most video games once you clock something it seems silly to go back (eg we haven't played Zelda or Super Paper Mario since we finished them) BUT the games are a lot of fun and you can get Mario Party and the sports ones which are a lot of fun with a group of people so you will play those over and over.

We have one!
I love it!
My Dad brough one over from the States Christmas '06 (so no NZ games work on it - we have to get him to send them, which is a pain). But we were all SORE on the 27th after spending all of Boxing Day playing Tennis and making complete dicks of ourselves.
But SO much fun and made for great cardio during pregnancy

We got one recently too... and got a Wii Fit with it... the Wii Fit is pretty awesome.. it includes all sorts of Yoga poses, plus muscle workouts and it gives you balance exercises along with step routines and hoola hooping! :D

The more you use it the more you unlock more things to do as well so there is a bit of motivation behind it.. it also does a weigh in with you and gives you BMI and all sorts and puts it on graphs so you can track your progress if you want.

DH and I play against each other in Tennis and its lots of fun :D

Its cheaper to buy than a Playstation :D

Have it but to be quite honest the wii fitness is really for people that are not fit at all and to get them moving.

Great if you are into yoga as there is quite a bit on that but on the actual aerobic side not that much and a bit of a dissapointment. There is a bit on strength work that is great. I think it is great for kids and McKayla loves the step program and now gets the telephone book and step on it and off.

We havent bought any other games yet as such. Will do that after my exams. And we want to buy another remote so we can play tennis against each other. Tennis is quite a lot of fun and that is part of the package you get for free with the basic wii.

I have one and I love it, I'm not even a gamey type person but I love playing, I don't have the Wii fit, but have the sports and a few other games, novelty hasn't worn off yet and have had it for quite a while...I got mine of TM for quite cheap...

Great fun the Wii, for adults and kids, and for groups or playing individually. Note though, that there are LOTS of really bad games for it... if anyone has one and is looking at buying games, make good use of this site: www.metacritic.com. You can search and see all the lists of game reviews to see what people think about the games before you buy them. Oh, and don't expect the price to come down anytime soon - there's a worldwide shortage of Wiis and has been since they came out, Nintendo can't produce them fast enough to meet demand, so it'll be unlikely you'll see a price drop for at least another year...

We have one- they're heaps of fun    Some of the things are really good workouts- the boxing is great for your arms! You get really into it. We're going to get the Wii fit for christmas- I've heard really good things about them- we have a couple of friends who have it.

We have sonic and mario olympic games which is really good- if you're going to buy any one game this is the one I would recommend.
