Is everyone here putting Bubs in with them or in their own rooms?
I have noticed with some people I have met they when babies are breastfed they seem to always been in with Mum and when they are bottlefed they go in their own rooms? Weird.

I personally dont like having baby in my room, I didnt with Kobe and wont with this baby. I always said that our bedroom will be our space where I cant be disturbed and can not have ot worry about waking the baby etc but thats just my personal preference. In fact we still dont really let Kobe come into our bed as I dont want him to get used to it. I have friends who have breastfeed and had baby in seperate room and also some who b/f and had baby in room with them and to be honest a number of them ended up putting baby into its own room.

My kids both went straight into their own rooms. as baby noises keep me awake at night.

Kiya was in my room initially, but that's only because I moved back in with my family, and there wasn't enough space for her to have her own room. When I moved out when she was 6 months old, she went into her own room.

Josiah has been in his own room from the start, although he comes into our room some nights when we've got people staying in his room.

Baby will be in with us at first, as Josiah is only just sleeping through the night now and I don't want to be disterbing him, when I get Baby up for night breastfeeds. Baby will be sharing a room with Josiah after they are about 3 months old.

we had jack in with us until he was sleeping through the night, which was at 6wks. i found it alot easier to reach over and pick him up out of the bassinet to feed him rather than getting out of bed and getting him out of his own room.
hehehe, so really just my pure laziness
will do that again with this bubs too

Maya shared with us till I moved out when she was 3 months, but that was mainly coz of space. We are now looking at finding a 4 brm and will have the twins sharing a room eventually, but not sure whether they will room in with us to start with or not. I don't have any issues either way.

I had to sleep in the same room as Hannah for 13 months. Drove me insane!!!!

Was good for the early days, but purely for the reason that Vanessa had Jack in her room too.... waaaaaay too lazy to have Hannah ages away from me when I could just grab her from her cot and feed her.

Must admit that she also slept with me an awful lot (I'm a single Mum) until she started wriggling. Last night she was in bed with me and was determined to sleep cuddling my face... nice gesture but geepers creepers is it hard to sleep like that! After 3 hours of a wriggly kidlet on my head I put her back in her own cot. (She was there for 3 hours for stated reason above... waaaaay too lazy.) Hrmmmm... so unrelated to topic!

i had caitlyn in my room when she was first born, 2 reasons one being laziness and the other being that i lived in a flat by myself and it was scary and up along drive way and if i ever needed to run from the boogeyman i wanted to make sure i remembered caitlyn lol and i knew i would if she was right by me.
when she went into a cot i put her in her own room(figured the boogeyman wouldnt be arsed walking up my long driveway) and now we rent with my folks and she luckily loves her bed (bunks) and her room and doesnt like sleeping in my bed anyway.
Good cos she wants to play tents and tickle me all the time so id go mad(der)

my friends daughter wont sleep unless its with my friend -and shes 3...i couldnt handle that!

I had Alex in with me at the hospital and probably for about a week after we came home, then off he went to his own room because I would wake up to every single snuffle, shuffle, wriggle or sigh! I would have liked to have him in with me longer but I just needed to get some sleep! And I used to be such a heavy sleeper before he was born too.
Also I breastfed (and still am) so I think its a case of personal preference rather than a breastfed or bottle fed thing

we had xanthe in our room for a total of - 1 night! after that she was turfed into her own room. but now we are in a new house and our bedroom is at the opposite end from the kids end, so when it comes time for getting out of bed and going to get the baby, i may decide to room in.

We have Piper in her bassinet in the living room as it is warmer with the fire going her room is on other side of house and a bit cold so as soon as we get a heat transfer kit she will be in her own room I would have put her in with us bit our bedroom is a bit too small

Yea..50/50.
I think I will have this baby in our room for a bit too. When I was feeding Paige in the middle of winter, it was easy to reach over and grab here out of her basinette then drop off to sleep while she snuggled in for a feed. (My Mum used to just about have a heart failure thinking one of us would roll on her...which of course never happened)
It was cold too so we kept the room warm.

I guess it will depend on how noisey the little dot is!

Alan was in our room till he started sleeping through the night then he went into his own room cause I kept waking with all his noise's.  This baby will be in our room for the same length of time, but due to the fact that I plan to brest feed this baby much longer.
