Topic: No no no no NO! My cat [%(] Posted: 05 December 2008 at 9:03am |
My dear cat Tyson was in a cat fight a few weeks ago, he had to go to the vet and ended up needing a drain and stitches and the poor wee thing had to wear one of those face tunnel things it was awful.
Anyway he went back had the drip out, then 10 days later had to have the stiches taken out - I could not for the life of me get him in the cage, so my dear Mum bless her came down and put him in for me, and took him down to the vet while I went to work.
He then escaped the cat cage while in the carpark of the vets - he actually busted and broke the cage little ratbag!
Hes been on the run now for 9 days - and we had put flyers EVERYWHERE, advertised everywhere and even door knocked. We had a lady call us 3 nights ago saying that she thinks he is coming to her house between 12-3am to eat off her porch, anyway I put his bed etc there and we got a cat trap from the SPCA - caught him but the wee ratbag got out!
Then last night - had the worst call from the vet. He had been run over. I just cant believe it. We were SO close to getting him back.
I feel guttered, absolutly guttered.
The last time I saw him he was SO grumpy with me for trying to get him into the cage, his last month of his life was crap with the tunnel thing and everything - it just sux.
And its a month after my Grandma died.
Thanks for listening - I know its a long post but I do feel a BIT better now.

Oh D, as I said in my text I am so sorry! Tyson was such a cool cat.
Loads of hugs and I hope you can forget about the last month (which you only did to make him healthy!) and find lots of wonderful memories to comfort you and DH at this sad, sad time.
RIP Tyson!

I'm so sorry for your loss Dal.
Try and forget about the past month, as surfergirl said you did what you had to do to try and make him healthy.
I hope you're taking some time off today and being pampered this weekend.
RIP Tyson.

Sorry to hear that! I know how you feel as I had both of my cats hit by cars within 6 months of each other and I just felt so helpless. Look after yourself!

Big hugs xx

I'm also very sorry to hear that poor wee Tyson was run over . I hope he didn't suffer too much in the end. You did all you could for him & more.
He is obviously one very determined little kitty escaping from all those cages.

Oh... I'm so so sorry for you. You must be devastated. I know if anything happened to my kitty, I'd be completely cut up.
He was a lucky wee kitty to have you to love him during his time here.
