Hi there,

I was just wondering is there anyone else out there that has placenta previa???

My placenta covers part of cervix entrance and am told in most cases it will move when cervix opens. I have been doing some reading on it and read that in later stges of pregnancy it may cause some bleeding and baby will have to be delivered immediately.

II have also read in some cases you have to refrain from sex and exercise if it fully covers cervix opening.

Thank god these days they can tell early and take the right action to prevent any complications.

I did quite a bit of reading on this on the net when I found out about the Placenta being where it is. Lots of info about it which is really good. The midwife said as my Placenta is at the front it could slip down low and cause this too. I didnt actually know they could move - I thought they were glued/stuck into your uterus somehow????

But so far everything is honkey dorey!!!

You will be alright!! I dont think its very common at all to get and certainly dont worry about it in these early stages!!! I think they give you the worst case scenarios to make sure you know but 9 times out of 10 it never atually happens!
