Topic: What are you looking forward to this year Posted: 06 January 2009 at 12:00pm |
I thought Kandice's thread was going to ask this, but it was something totally different, so I thought I'd start this one!
I know there's been resolutions threads about 2009, but is there anything that you've got planned, that you're looking forward too?
What I'm looking forward to this year is celebrating my 10th wedding anniversary with Dh. It's not til September, but we've been talking about what we want to do for it, and we've agreed to go away for a week without the kids! It's always been my desire to do this, but wasn't sure if dh would agree, but he has! But now we're thinking about where to go! I wanted to go to a Pacific Island, but now we're thinking someplace in NZ. I just want to go to a place that we don't have to think about doing anything! Completely relax, sleep and recuperate.
Also we'll have a party at our place to celebrate, probably after we've come back from our holiday. Ahh, I'm excited already!

I'm looking forward to returning to study. I want to get started now but apparently I have to wait for the course to actually start!!
Also looking forward to (hopefully) finally getting a BFP - or moving onto IVF. Either way - I'm just looking forward to making any kind of progress - sick of just TTC month after month!

I'm looking forward to finding our own feet and finally having our own space (in our own place). Joining a playgroup and lucas & I making new friends etc
Lucas' 2nd Birthday, unlike his first where we kept it to a minimum this year I want to give him a lovely party
And any one new I might meet along the way ...or a special someone I might be reunited with
Things I'm not looking forward to : Family situations(grandparents esp) ...several family members are quite ill atm and I'm scared that come Christmas '09 we'll be missing some. Nana is in hosp atm, having an operation tomorrow ...possibly only the first of many to come.

I'm looking forward to...
- Becoming DF's wife.
- Hopefully getting a sticky BFP.
- Our honeymoon to Taupo - mainly because I haven't had a holiday in over 3 years, and also because it will be all about us.
- Finishing my insurance certificate (last exam this month!!) and starting my insurance diploma, and also the conveyancing diploma.
- Giving up smoking.
I have a lot of things to look forward to this year
Congrats on 10 years Italiah!!

I am looking forward to getting pregnant again
I am looking forward to being happier than I was last year (I am going to make a concentrated effort there).

Yay for having every Wednesday off G. I did that when I first returned to work and it was brilliant!
I am looking forward to:
- Feeling my baby move regularly.
- Spending time with my wee family.
- Michaela's birthday weekend which starts with The Wiggles concert on Saturday, her birthday party on Sunday and then a day off for family time on her actual birthday which is on the Tuesday.
- Finishing work (4mths 3wks 2days and counting).
- Meeting my new baby.
- Watching Michaela interact with her younger sibling.
- Taking time off to spend with my kids.
- Not working at all next summer (well, not in paid employment
).

I'm looking forward to (and am also very nervous about) moving to Christchurch and starting fresh (= running away from all the difficult things here... )
A happier, more stable, more sanity-inducing year than 2009.
And of course, bubs arriving in June(ish)

I'm looking forward to:
1) Getting more and more pregnant. So excited to see what I'll look like (although I have a fair idea)
2) Going on maternity leave
3) Having Baby. Interested to see how I will cope with labour etc. and interested to see how DH copes with me being in labour.
4) Seeing DH as a Dad and MIL/FIL as grandparents (as it's their first)
5) Being a Mum

I'm looking forward to our 2nd wedding anniversary ( only 7 sleeps to go) and actually getting to spend it with DH as last year he was working for the UN in East Timor - I'm so excited (even though he is on nightshift and we can't have bubbly!)
Oh, and hopefully a BFP!!
I am also looking forward to getting rid of my head cold & cold sores... it's summer for crying out loud, you aren't supposed to get sick in summer.
