Topic: How Metro is your DH/DP? Posted: 24 February 2009 at 4:20pm |
Ive become increasingly concerned about my DH and his metrosexualism.
He is currently using my St Ives facewash (and just loves the way his nose feels now that his blackheads are gone )
He also began shaving his legs (Hes a cyclist so apparently its the norm )
Hes moisturising his legs after his shower too
This morning he crossed the line by asking me about my eye cream and what good it will do to his skin

lol. thats classic. i have quite a few friends who are like that. DH wont have a bar of it, he is such a boys boy. wont use face wash, mousterizer. it took me about a year to force him into showering every day bloody stubborn bugger wont even take panadol when he is sick because it is wussy. i wish he would be a little bit more metro cos he is actually pretty ick when it comes down to it. hehe

me too, loves his mans products, moisturisers you name it, he puts lip balm on every night too. Takes very good care of himself.
It annoys me how often he showers, he has to have one every day no matter what, even if we get home super late or there really isn't time, he has to have one.
His brother is totally the opposite and blames the metroness on me, but he was like it when I met him.

My DF is totally NOT metro - he used soap to wash his hair until I moved in and bought him shampoo. He would NEVER use moisturiser - no way!! He doesn't even use shaving foam - soap is good enough for him!! He does use Chapstick on occasion, provided it's unflavoured, unscented etc and only if he has sunburnt dry lips (or I tell him to because it sucks to kiss him). He does like to do stupid gel stuff to his hair though when we go out...

DH is definately NOT metro. He would never use moisturiser or hair products. He uses soap to wash his face and would use it in his hair if I didn't buy shampoo. The closest he gets is using shaving foam on his face and even then he only shaves once or twice a week but really needs to shave at least every 2nd day

My DH is 6ft2 and wieghs about 140kgs at the moment. He moisturises his face every day (clinique for men), loves eye cream (is terrified of getting old and getting that puffy eye look) moisturises his legs etc etc etc. He also loves getting facials and massages. LOL its sooooo funny but oh so cute. He has great skin. I love it.

DH uses my moisturiser, but the only other thing he does is use shaving foam, has no hair so shampoo is not an issue!

The only thing that goes on DHs face is sunscreen and that's cause he's got fair skin and burns easily.
I did catch him using my johnsons skin on his hands though cause they were dry, he wondered why his palms went yellow lol.
He also stole my blistex lip balm
I have dated cyclists before Dh, and yup all have very smoothe legs, its so they don't get infections if they fall off and get scrapes and grazes.

Ha that is hilarious mrsg1 about the johnsons skin!!!!
DH is pretty metro - I often catch him looking at himself in the mirror! We share the same face moisturiser, body moisturiser and sometimes hair stuff (I use a different one for when I straighten my hair and he uses that when his stuff runs out),
The only thing he doesn't use is eye cream - he gets lots of 'man grooming' packs with this kind of stuff and the eye cream is always left unused, not sure why, maybe it is too metro for him?!

Oh and I caught him using my roll on deoderant once - ewwww!! I didn't use it after that! He had run out and couldn't be bothered to get some more (he waited for me to get it with the groceries!)
So Kaiz, I wouldn't worry - my DH is sounding a bit worse than yours!

My DH is the best at working my hair straightener
He does all the guff & takes ages in the shower which really annoys me but he does have this fabulous mens moisteriser, I've snuck it sometimes as it's a pick me up one & does make you feel awake
He's a builder so to say he's a metro he'd deny it....

Haha, oh boy Kaiz, your DH sounds soo similar to mine!! He's the one with the eye cream - not me! I just discovered it this morning actually. There is a brand out there which DH buys which is for men, so it's not so bad as seeing him use something like Olay. DH doesn't shave it legs though, nor moisterise them, but he uses facewash, and even face masks! It cracks me up! He uses hair product everyday, though he needs too otherwise his hair goes all fluffy. I know a guy who shaves his legs, and he not a cyclist, so not sure what his excuse is .
