RANT RANT RANT!

Why is it that no shops I can afford to shop in are selling jackets that are even slightly warm or water proof/resistant? I am NOT paying $50 for a jacket thank you very much PP!

And of course because I've left it until the start of autumn I'm struggling to find anything half decent for under $20+postage.

I've been to the warehouse, t&t, PP and JK outlet stores (can't afford the normal stores), farmers, savemart (only had 80's ones with rips - I do have standards!). Haven't been to Kmart yet but losing hope quickly. Seriously do we actually have to pay $50 for a boys jacket these days? That is a rip off!

RANT OVER! But feel free to join in

Yeah we bought Issys winter coat in December from the PP outlet store .. so its still sitting in her wardrobe awaiting winter weather lol.

I always tend to buy ahead in regards to her (and now Elias) I just hope she still fits it by the time the season is right.

You could probably find something on TM though reasonably cheaply.

I saw some padded jackets - like seriously padded in Postie Plus for about $25 but not sure if they were waterproof sorry.

Ah Postie Plus! Thanks Kate! Must look there.

jack_&_charli - I'm thinking either a big size 1 or a size 2 as it would need to fit over jerseys etc. Let me know if you have anything.

Julia - yeah I tend to buy ahead of time too but the jacket situation escaped my attention until I went to put his one on the other day and it wouldn't do up over his jerseys. They're a bit useless if you have to take all of your clothes off just to get the jacket on lol

Emz, I bought Ashleigh one last year from The Baby Factory, it was really warm and padded and from memory around $25?

Oh I know! I went into PP the other day to find a Jacket for Jackson, and they wanted $50 for a Waterproof puffy Jacket, that didnt even have a hood! (It was tucked under in one of those zip things)
I managed to get a waterproof bomber type Jacket with fleece inside off trademe for $11 It took me a week or two to find one at a reasonable price!

They'll probably be the same ones - meant to say that Postie Plus carry Baby City stock as they're owned by the same parent company I think.

Yeah I bought a good jacket for Spencer last year from baby city for $20 I think or might have been $30. It was far too big for him last year, but also the smallest jacket I could find anywhere, lucky for me it still fits him, actually its still too big for him, and it's suppose to be for a 1 year old
That's because Spencer is so small not because there sizes are out.
