So there have been a few threads recently that have involved verbally (cyber-verbally?) man-bashing.
While that can be fun (oooh-oh-ho-ho, can it what!), they're getting a pretty rough end of a very large stick!

It's time to talk up the man in your life
After all, he helped you get the long for child(ren) in your life.

I'll start!

I love my DH to pieces!
He goes to work every day with a smile on his face.
He tells me he loves me at least twice a day (and at least once via text message).
He works extremely hard at his job - especially at this time of year when it's 16 hour days - without complaint.
He cooks at least 3 times a week.
He does the dishes.
He bathes Hannah and plays with her before bed.
He (usually) lets me sleep in on a Sunday.
He does all the gardening.
He listens to me bitch and moan about various things.
He's great in bed.
He doesn't complain when I go to bed at 9:30 every night.
He's sweet.
He's got a nice bum.
He's everything I could ask for in a husband, mate, best friend.
I look forward to life with him.

I could go on - but I think you get the point!

Add your bits in here, and let the men get some

Great thread Charly. I had to read DP a few of the things your DH does ie. cooks at least 3 times a week hint hint!

I couldn't have chosen a better DP.

He's very affectionate
He works very hard to support us
He supports my wish to stay at home and raise our child(ren)
He doesn't deny Livvy or I anything
He's a wonderful dad to Livvy
He baths Livvy every single night
He makes Livvy laugh harder than anyone else can
He shares in most duties when he's home without complaining
He always does the late night goody run (even if he doesn't want to)
He has really neat coloured eyes
He has broad shoulders

He is awesome and I'm so grateful that I've found such a wonderful guy to live my life and have children with.

Aww bless Charly .. only you could start a thread like this

Where do I start ...

He is so damn good to look at! Eye candy on tap lol

He is a fulltime parent and student .. AND works part time all without complaint.

He left all his friends and family to move to NZ to start a family with me.

He gets up to Issy at night and each morning and never complains.

He ALWAYS lets me sit down for 10 minutes when I get in from work BEFORE I start my Mummy role.

He never posts on a forum about how useless his wife is .. how he feels like a Nanny .. or how he NEVER gets to sleep in (or time off).

He always takes Isabelle to her activities and plans his schooling and work around her.

He runs me a bath each night and entertains Isabelle to let me soak. Then he rubs my aching legs before I go to sleep.

He had a HUGE marshmellow heart inside that hard body of his .. and he tells me he 's me everyday .. although he also says he 's Isabelle waay more

Oh and did I mention he looks good
Mummy to Issy (3) and Elias (18 months)

I did it .. 41 kgs gone! From flab to fab in under a year LFs weight blog

Great Idea!

He washes and dries the dishes every night

He works 12 hour shifts, sometimes 7 days a week, so he can earn enough money for me to be a SAHM.

He cleans the toilet, the shower, the handbasin. He vacuums, he organises and reorganises the cupboards and even my handbag.

He gives me a massage most nights

He ALWAYS puts his family first.

He strives to give his kids all that they need, and all the love he can give, because he never got much as a child.

He always makes sure Im satisfied, in every aspect

Hes handsome and has a great set of legs, and bum.

I love my DH for many reasons

Because he makes me feel loved everyday

because he knows and understands me better than anyone

Because all my friends love him

Because he does a face like Albert Steptoe that always makes me laugh

Because he doesnt let me walk all over him, but he doesnt fight unnecessarily too

because he comes home from working all day , but still makes my comfort his first priority

Because he is a genuinely good person

Because he didnt just fall in love with me, but he also fell in love with my daughter

Because of the way , whenever someone says "its so cool your'e going to have your own child" he puts them in their place and tells them that Caitlyn is his own child, biological or not , and he honestly believes that

Because he loves my friends (well not too much ) and he knows how much they mean to me

Because he would gather the stars from the sky for me if he could

because we make a good team

Because he had plenty of reasons to leave, and he chose to stay

Because I love him , and can actually now understand why people get married, not for the fancy wedding day , or the pretty dress , or presents, but to be bound to them for ever .

Because ,in the words of Kelly Clarkson , My life would suck without you (or in this case him )

Mine tells me he loves me at least once a day.

Has made me a better person since I met him.

Drags me way out of my comfort zone, kicking an screaming, and once I'm comfy there he does it all over again

He supports my decision to be a SAHM.

He works hard at his job and takes pride in being able to support his family.

He is a brilliant dad to the twinsies and I already know they will grow up to be amazing people with him to guide them.

Family is what's most important to him.

If I wanted to move back to Ireland tomorrow he would, even though it's the last thing he wants to do.

He has the cutest cheekiest smile that still gives me butterflies 8 years on

Loving this thread!

I had to try very hard to think of anything but it was good, makes me realise a lot of the things I probably take for granted.

He gets up in the morning every day and looks after the girls so I can sleep just a little bit longer.

He comes home every day to have lunch with his family.

He says he loves me and kisses me before he goes to work and one he is home almost every day.

He rings me from work just to check I am ok.

He loves his girls to pieces.

He loves spending time as a family.

Because he has stuck around when most men would have run a mile.

He does the dishes most nights.

He makes me laugh.

He just gets me like no one else. And I get him too!

He works hard to provide for his family.

He listens to me winging and complaining to all the storeis of my day and never complains.

He will never put me down.

I just love him to bits and I know he loves me too!!!

I just had a rant about DP but TBH theres a helluva lot more positive things about him.

I'm totally besotted with him for starters
Hes totally committed to me and Jake
He works really hard to support us even though his job frustrates him
He does the washing, dishes, vacuuming, etc regularly
Hes handled my struggles with PND with gentleness, kindness and patience - more than I've deserved at times
He cooks a couple of times a week (or buys takeaways which I'm too stingy to do so its nice when he suggests it lol)
He always gives me a cuddle in the morning before he gets up
He showers with Jake and reads to him before bed
He takes Jake to the park every weekend for atleast an hour to give me some me-time
He loves my family and even when they're not being lovable he puts up with them
He totally supports anything I want to do
Hes fantastic in bed
Oh yeah great butt too lol no mamapickle I'm not copying I just can't help but agree!!!
He spends money on me (I never do so it makes it all the more special)
He supports my MCN craze even though he wishes he didn't have to lol
He's just loving and kind and gentle and tough and super-hot and I'm so lucky *sigh*
Ohhh he's so sweet he just brought me a cuppa I'm so in love.....

Thanks MamaPickle its good to take the time to remember why we're with our guys coz sometimes its hard to see past the day-to-day crap.

edit - arrgh my stupid internet connection! I had to edit coz it took so long for my computer to put this up that everyone else had posted <---at my computer not at everyone else posting lol

Anyway I want to add what everybody else has said that I haven't lol especially caitlynsmygirl -
my DP never lets anyone lessen the relationship he has with Jake and as far as he's concerned Jake is his firstborn son. He always says that if we never have another child it won't matter because he's already got such a great kid!!

Glad it wasnt just me starting to feel a bit bad for the guys side.

I really love my husband and here is a few reasons:

1. Off course because he gave me our kids, but also because when we had trouble concieving and having miscarriages he never ever blamed me and really helped me through it all.

2. When I had McKayla he would get up at night in the first few weeks to make me tea or get me stuff while I was breastfeeding on end and would burp and change her afterwards. I had to tell him to stop when he needed to go back to work.

3. He insisted that he will do bathing routine so he can be involved with his kid and he didnt needed the boobs for it.

4. He is an involved Dad and dont mind dancing around with McKayla to Barbie music and even allowed her to put nail polish on him once due to me needing to study and her needing to do someone's nails.

5. He really is a great husband and great in bed. (okay cant really compare as I only had him...... but in the beginning he was very patient and understanding.)

6. He tells me he loves me quite often and give kisses and hugs (even if I am the one usually pulling away or something).

7. He puts up with my moodiness and nagging way too often sometimes.

8. Even though he hates shopping, if I feel tired he will go with me so that he can look after McKayla.

9. He had no problems putting McKayla in the Kango pouch and walking around with her and he was my Number 1 supporter with extended breastfeeding and never complained about her being in our bed.

10. He is a great provider and whenever I feel useless for not financially contributing he will let me know how much I mean to this family and what I do is important to the family and he cant do it without me.

And the best one: he puts up with all my crap and still loves me for being me.

He doesn't mind me reading threads like this on ob and getting all teary lol
He hugged me, listened to me cry, rubbed my sore bits, made me juice and toast in bed, ran me baths, let me freak out frequently when I was preggy.
He was the perfect birthing partner.
He took a lot of time off work to help me when I was recovering from the birth.
He tells me he loves me a lot and I get lots of kisses.
He understands my fear of 'bed antics' since the birth and never pressures me.
He doesn't mind that I decided we should all move to Perth and live with my parents.
He will do anything to make Jody laugh, and she always does for him.
He baths Jody, changes her, plays with her and talks with her.
He trusts me completly in my decisions with Jody, like what imms to give her, when to start solids, how long I will be breastfeeding.
He gives me way more massages than I give him.
He does housework everyday.
He gets all excited when we go shopping in the baby sections of any shops, he knows exactly what toys Jody would love.
He tells me I am sexy even though I have extra skin, stretch marks and bigger bum.

Wow, I though it would be hard to come up with a list but I could keep going for days!

Great idea Charly!!

I love my dh because:

He's an awesome daddy!  He loves his kids so much and will do anything for them.  He never queries me about how much I spend on them, as to him they are worth every penny spent.

He's an awesome cook and will regularly through the week.

He's HOT!!

We're completely in tune with each other

I love him more each day even after being with him for 12 yrs (and only ever been with him)

He works hard to support us

He wants his kids to get the best education and have all the opportunities in life that he didn't get

He tells me he loves me even when I look hidious and I wonder what on earth he sees in me

He's very smart and knowledgable and can answer any question I have

He's VERY generous in bed

He talks to me about anything and everything, most days we sit down with a coffee and just chat

He'll ring me from work and ask about how the children are and that he misses them, and it's only 11am.

I think that's about jist of it

My babies:

R (9),G (7), J (5)

What a great idea!

My DH tells me he loves me frequently, just because.
He gives me the best cuddles.
He loves me how I am, no matter what I look like.
He puts up with my bitching and moaning.
He says goodnight to his babies, even though they aren't born yet.
He goes with the flow and doesn't let too much worry him (like the 8 weeks without my income before PPL starts).
He trusts me with his life.
He doesn't complain about the housework not being done.
He wants to get up for the night feeds as it's his thing with the bubs.
He makes me very happy in bed and he's very nice to look at!
He's loyal to a T and would give you the shirt of his back if he had to.
He supports me with everything I want to do.

He's everything I want in a man plus more.

I him coz right now he's drunk and asleep in my car (it's good entertainment )

Seriously tho, I love that:

*he makes good looking kids
*he gets up to the gremlins in the night
*he mostly does everything I tell him to without complaining
*he is a much smarter person that he lets on to other people
*we can talk for hours and yet most people are lucky to get 5 words out of him
*when I was falling apart, he picked up the pieces of our family and held them together
*that he recognises mistakes he's made with his older kids and uses them as opportunities to be a better dad to our girls
*that he loves me - goodness knows why?!
*that he sticks up for me

And lots more. For all the whinging I do, he can't be all bad coz we've been together 10 years next month
