Is he just in a booster seat with an adult lap belt? Maybe you need to look at something like a harnessed booster until he's a bit older & can understand that he has to stay in the seat while you're driving?

Might pay to check out this page. You can buy a separate harness to go with the booster (depending on the booster of course, there are some that don't work with one, they're outlined on the page).

just an ordinary booster with seat belt over like drivers belt (what ever there called) i have only just got the seat so dont want to buy another....he is still in car seat but when with pop he goes into booster so its not very often but when you are by yourself thats when he decides to be a worm........he does know he has to stay in there but when you are driving he starts if you quickly turn around he acts like he isnt doing anything wrong........devil

You can get the harnesses from Winkalotts. I know he's not in the booster very often but he's really still too young to not be in a harness - he should be in a harness until he's more like 4-5.
