OK a question for those who used to be on the pill.
I went off the pill in jan and until now haven't had AF
I got AF last week and it was a 5 day bleed like normal, but it was really really light. Is it normal to have super light AF's after going off the pill?
I am soooo happy to finally have AF coz it meant at the 21st i went to on sat i could let loose and drink, but also it makes me feel like now that AF has arrived maybe now getting a BFP might be that little bit easier.
funny thing is AF started on the 22nd (4 years since dad died) I dunno kinda feels like a good luck thing and that maybe this might be my month for my BFP.... hmmmm dont want to get my hopes up lol

I think everyone is different with this sort of thing. I was on the pill for 12 years straight and when I stopped I got my period the exact same day I would have if I were still on the pill, and then went straight into a regular 28 day cycle. For me my periods were far heavier, as when I was a teenager I had awful painful periods that were atleast for 7 days. The pill made my periods lighter and shorter, so as soon as I went off it, they were back in full force again!
Another change for me was ovulation pain - it was worse than my period pain.
All the best for TTC !

yeh i always thought that the pill made things lighter, but maybe its only just slowly wearing off.
my last period was when i was 16! I had very irregular periods and i went 18 months without one until i went for the quick fix and hoped on the pill.
when i was 16 my last AF was extremely extremely heavy and lasted 3 weeks. b4 that they were rather light and irregular

I have also had lighter AFs after coming off the pill - I have been semi regular (apart from a wayward cycle last month) but I have noticed a drastic change in how heavy they are - hopefully it lasts!
