Has anyone had a very, very faint positive after their m/c and it been false?
It has been almost 4 weeks since my m/c & I am currently 10DPO & have got a barely there faint line.
I also have all the same symptoms I had last time i.e nausea, sore bb's, headache etc
My sister said it happened to her 1 month after her m/c & she also felt pregnant again, but it was a false positive.
Is it my body playing tricks on me????
I had a D&C three weeks ago and still getting a barely there line on a HPT, my HCG level a week after was 500. If it was me i would wait a while longer and see if the line gets any darker or go to the docs and get a series of blood tests to check if levels are rising etc.
I have read that up to about 6 weeks after a m/c you can still experience symptoms on and off - sorry to be pesamistic.
My very faint HPT 6 weeks afer my MC was a real positive (bit of a suprise).
I rung my OB and they organised HCG tests so we could monitor if it was just my body taking its time getting back to normal or if it was rising which meant there was a real baby in there.
I would recommend you talk to your doctor about some bloods, as its a werid time not knowing whats going on in there.
Probably wise (and you show more paitence than I did)
If I can suggest something it would be to make sure you use the same brand of test - I found using different tests would produce all sorts of results - even got a BFN after 3 days BFPs on another brand. (FYI my first BFP was 10DPO)
I was sure mine was a false positive (or due to residual HCG from my MC) but the doc laughed at me as my HCG levels were low after the MC and should have been back to 0 )or thereabouts). Did an HCG and it was higher than it had been with the MC. SO it can be ok.
hi ...good luck..if you have ovulated then it will be a new pregnancy:) if it was early when you mced then 4 weeks after I would say its a new pregnancy..
if it were me I would go to the doc..it depends on how far along etc you were and how high the levels were etc.. but if you ovulated you had very low levels anyway so fingers crossed for you:)
