Topic: Its a little wet today! Posted: 12 June 2006 at 11:22am |
And when I say a "little" wet, the rain is nearly horizontal and hitting three sides of the house at the same time! The gum trees are moving alarmingly... I'm really glad there are none close to the house! Nat and I think the South Island snow will be here by tomorrow night at the latest.
All in all, a nice day to be inside with the fire lit, and a hot chocolate... I think I'll go and make myself one!

Yucky yucky yucky weather.
I decided that I'd have a home day today. So dropped Hannah off to creche and am snuggled up in my dressing gown and fleece pyjama pants! hehehe
Just sucks that I have to get dressed to go and pick her up at 5pm! Or maybe they won't mind...?
The only bad thing about staying home is that I can procrastinate much easier so haven't even touched my school work!

Mmmm freaking landladies.
I had to get the oven fixed this morning and she was going to charge me 1/2 the cost of the electrician. Luckily it turned out to be an installation f'up, (With a live wire dangling?!?! Geepers!) so now I feel justified in telling her that it's her prob not mine!!!
(Sorry for the thread-jack... I'm just so bored!!!)

nikki i would be telling her its her house, an investment she paid for so its her responsibility to pay for any repairs to the house for maintenance esp on chattels such as the oven. We moved in here and needed a new element on the oven and our landlady had it replaced asap.

I can't say I am suffering too badly, and ain't mother nature grand ?? Even if we did lose electricity I could still cook and shower - the blessing of having gas mains !! I also have a battery operated radio around here *somewhere* and could snuggle up in bed with that and a good book - which I might do anyway, now that the kitchen is clean, the rubbish is sorted, and the washing is on.

I hate confrontation! hehehe
I think it's a case of her not having much experience as a landlady so she's not intentionally trying to be a bitch. I will be telling her for sure that she is paying for this one tho! As is the electrician I think he's going to mention how dangerous it was around my daughter too so that'll show her how responsible she has to be!

Well, I didn't think he'd come as quickly as he did! Was just about to make the sprint to my room when I heard a knock at the door! Apart from being a little surpised, he was ok.
And yes Roksana. I am coming up! Sorry for being so slack about letting you know the details. Will be driving up on the 23rd. And so it is the 24th that Atish is out at soccer??
