OK, I had no idea the "going home outfit" was meant to be special so have no recollection of what Hannah wore home. Hope it was something cute. All I remember is that I looked horrible! hehe

Haha I am the same as you Nikki - just didn't want to be the first to admit it!!
I hated walking out of the hospital cause I had an excise to be fat when I walked in - but not out!! (in my eyes at the time) Oh and I think the epidural headache rained on my "parade"....

I think my american forum ladies were all for the "going home outfit" lol.. it did seem like a nice idea though and I still look at them from time to time and realise how much she's grown (still can't believe she was that small)

I must admit I did not take any photos of kids coming home. Josh I was just glad to get to go home after he spent 5 days in Neo Natal (had jaundice very bad) and Brooke I wasn't in hospital that long just wanted to get home. That might be an idea for another post - howlong did people stay in hospital what is the norm. With this one I plan to stay a night as the maternity hospital here is so nice and I am so jealous of my friends who had their babies there as I had to go to New Plymouth ( half hour drive from here) with both of mine. This time told the midwife I'll start pushing and chain myself to the bed if they say I have to go there again - she laughed and liked my attitude - sure I would go if it was an emergency :-)

Yes - Its elizabeth R,. Its a rest home with maternity attatched - very nice - you have your own ensuite with your own telly and double bed (although they are a bit soft for my liking - you also have a ranchslider that opens onto a deck. New Plymouth was just a boxed in room with a bed and enough room for baby - not cosy or anything. I have not been to the birthing bit of ER . If you need a c section you have to go to NP or an epidural or anything other than gas n air and pethadine and not a normal delivery you have to go to NP. They did try to close ER down the other year but us stratford ites (and surrounding districts) fought to keep it open - and they did. case now of use it or lose it. I would definatley have a baby there than NP

hhhm we had the same with Paris, a cute little outfit and she was too long, so sent mike home to get one and he came back with a little sleepsuit, which was ok, but not great. oh well, she looked so cute all wrapped up in her carseat cuddly bag that i made her.
and ayja, i had brought a 2 piece suit so that if her body was long like paris's it wouldn't matter
so she actually got to wear hers, lol, just looking now i realise she was a bit jaundice-yellow and ju-ju looking lolol, what a mean mummy i am.
will load pics later

Posted this on the Due in July thread as well, but figure there can't be much harm in doubling up
The yellow thing underneath the clothes is the blanket I'm taking to rug her up with if it's super cold.
