    Posted: 25 August 2009 at 12:58pm
Hi Everyone, I'm 6 weeks pregnant and since last week my hcg levels have been fluctuating as follows:
18/8 1500
20/8 1100
22/8 1500
25/8 1300
Anyone know what this means? or been through this and had a successful pregnancy?
I had a scan on 21/8 which showed a sac measuring 5 weeks 2 days which is correct for my duration however nothing could be seen yet.
I have another scan tomorrow to see whats happening...i'm going crazy not knowing...

if you go back through the old forums there are quite a few on this topic. HCG arent terribly accurate as they can fluctuate up and down during a 24 hour period so i would try wait it out til 2mrw and see how your scan goes. im sure things will be ok though

Babypls, I had asked my GP for a rolling script to check my HCG levels every few days. However, he ended up talking me out of it simply by telling me that they can go up and down, causing you unnecessary anxiety. Hope that helps.

Couldn't read and run - Hugs - you'll be going crazy until you have another scan!!
Its a good sign that they've picked up a sac and that its right for your dates - but I'm sure the HCGs are causing you a whole heap of worry.
Fingers crossed for you for tomorrow!

Hi babypls

I know exactly what you are going through right now it happened to me earlier this year up and down up and down but never doubling ........they called it static HCG levels ...................without being a big downer it did unfortunately not end well with me. I miscarried 2 wks later but you do hear of pregnancies going well even with funny hcg levels.

I hope it all works it well for you and you have nothing to worry about..............lots of positive baby wishes for you

So not out of the woods yet.. have got blood tests every 2-3 days until the 7th sept when i have another u/s.
