short story (TMI) I had swabs at 24,28 and 32 weeks preg and got given AB's as I have ureaplasmic cells ....that's fine ..in the end E was induced 38 weeks....

I just assumed this time I would have swabs done but mw has checked and hospital don't want to see me unless i have unusual discharge.. (as I haven't had pre term baby)

does anyone know the chances of pre term delivery with this combination.....? my old mw didnt say just gave me three sets of Ab's and everything was fine...

I can't force them to swab me (though at next mw appt I will try) as the only way I can be proved right is having a pre term baby and I dont want that of course!!

apparently it's reasonably common but I don't know anyone else (except two lovely ladies on here ...one who had pre term and one who didn't )

I am a worrier (anxiety issues) and try not to think too much about it really as I can't do anything yet .. but anyway anyone know any proper info (not mr google:) ) about it ? or experienced pregnancy with the ureaplasma cells?

to me it sounds like your midwife is too busy listening to the hospital and she needs to listen more to you and your concerns. Its nt hard for her to do the swabs herself or get your gp to do them
my one said I had to met her at the hospital to do them as they have special fluid or something for the ureaplasma test.
however my midwife just got a couple when she was there last time so she will do them

Id say push for them to be done if you really want them done!

my midwife grabbed a couple of the 'urea-plasma test things' last night when she was there. all your midwife has to do is ask for a couple of the test things!

Id ring your dr and ask

ohh and my midwife said I was to met her on the labour ward where she would do these tests. however this morning she said that the hospital wouldn't of allowed her to use one of there rooms since I was only 16 weeks anyway :/

Not sure what urea cells are but I had strep B with first baby but not with second baby. Mine wasn't treated until I was in labour.
