Topic: Tomorrows "to do" list ! Posted: 14 June 2006 at 9:20pm |
Just thought I'd be my usual daggy self and share my wonderful list of chores that I wrote down for tomorrow, in part I'm hoping that posting it here for everyone to see will help me get off my arse to get it done... HAHAHA !! I'm SO funny. *ahem* Anyway... it *is* rather a long list, and some of it will probably spill into Friday...
*************
* Take out compost and put over back fence
* Unload dishwasher and reload
* Wipe down stove top
* Put "good" glasses from pantry into new cabinet
* Change bag in kitchen rubbish bin and put out
* Empty laundry cupboard, put away, and start new load (then hang)
* Move stuff from hallway shelves into box, and store in closet
* Vacuum hall, bedroom, lounge and kitchen
* Put old dishwasher and baby listener on TM
* Put CD's from bedroom into rack in lounge
* Pack "unwanted" glassware and store in hall closet
*Sort out bardboard and paper in box by fireplace
* Take down venetians in nursery and put up net curtains
* Finish painting butterflies on nursery door
* Package and address collars and SEND !!
* Make pasta casserole to store in freezer
* Type up list of names and numbers to ring when baby arrives
* Make invites for tupperware party and email out
* Ring Lollipops to notify of non-confirmation
**************
and I *THINK* that's it !!

Hey Jax if you have any spare time, you could always come and help me pack, clean this house, or clean the new house lol. Or look after two kids while i try and get it done.

lol Jax what a list, if my midwife saw me make a list like that i got banished to bed for a couple of days just to get rid of the stress of having all that stuff to do. lol
hmmm me thinks that is your plan, go on admit it, its not that you want to do that stuff its just that you want someone to tell you not to do it. we know and we are onto you.

Hey ! The dishwasher is old but works perfectly, we were planning to ask $150, but if you are able to pick up we could make it cheaper for you PM me and let me know if you're keen ?

Right, here's what I've done so far - the things in blue are finished, unfinished still in black
*******************************************
* Take out compost and put over back fence
* Unload dishwasher and reload
* Wipe down stove top
* Put "good" glasses from pantry into new cabinet ( partially started)
* Change bag in kitchen rubbish bin and put out
* Empty laundry cupboard, put away, and start new load (then hang)
* Move stuff from hallway shelves into box, and store in closet
* Vacuum hall, bedroom, lounge and kitchen
* Put old dishwasher and baby listener on TM
* Put CD's from bedroom into rack in lounge
* Pack "unwanted" glassware and store in hall closet
* Sort out cardboard and paper in box by fireplace
* Take down venetians in nursery and put up net curtains
* Finish painting butterflies on nursery door
* Package and address collars and SEND !!
* Make pasta casserole to store in freezer
* Type up list of names and numbers to ring when baby arrives
* Make invites for tupperware party and email out
* Ring Lollipops to notify of non-confirmation
************************************************
Hmmm, doesn't look like as much as I thought it would, but if it helps it took ages to clean the stove top as it was REALLY grotty Plus I cleaned the kitchen bench and had to throw out a whole bunch of tomatoes.
Ah well, quick lunch break and then time to keep going !!

There are probably a couple of other things that I should add to that list too now that I think about it... I need to ALSO:
* Call NZ Post to ask about a parcel I think has gone missing even though we have a 6 month redirection in place from when we moved house
* Email my dad to wish him a slightly early Happy Fathers Day (he's in Canada and their FD is in a week I think)
* Find a storage box for DH's tools that are lying around all over the place
* Prep dinner for when DH gets home and make his lunch for tomorrow
* Run up to servo in car and get more milk
Whew !

Righto ! Having another wee break, so of course it's time for another update ! Blue = finished, Black = Still to do...
* Take out compost and put over back fence
* Unload dishwasher and reload
* Wipe down stove top
* Put "good" glasses from pantry into new cabinet
* Change bag in kitchen rubbish bin and put out
* Empty laundry cupboard, put away, and start new load (then hang)

* Find a storage box for DH's tools that are lying around all over the place
* Prep dinner for when DH gets home and make his lunch for tomorrow ( Will make his lunch while he does dinner LOL)
* Run up to servo in car and get more milk ( looks like I will be picking DH up from work so will stop for milk on the way back)
***************************
Argh !!!! Still doesn't look like as much as I thought I'd be able to get done, mind you, I'm not "finished" for the day either Should be able to fit in the vacuuming before I go and pick up DH, and will be able to get the milk on the way home from that. The rest might have to be left until tomorrow, mind you, the list of names and numbers plus emailing my dad I could do later on tonight... *sigh* Right, back to work !

So...housewife extraordinaire.... you done yet? Let me know, because I'll pin my list up on the front door, leave the door open and you can ring me when you are done here too????? Go on - you know that nesting can travel suburbs....
Just kidding - well done - I hope that you sleep well tonight and get lots of rest after your big day.

Well, I really really wish I could say I got the WHOLE list done, but I kind of knew when I wrote it out that some of it would spill into tomorrow (Friday). So, I've updated the last post with "today's" completed stuff, and here is the "new" list for tomorrow ! Will use magenta as the color for completed tasks, and black will still mean unfinished. Oh, and I've tried to put them in some sort of chronological order, but no guarantees there LOL
***********************************
* Ring Lollipops to notify of non-confirmation
* Put old dishwasher and baby listener on TM
* Package and address collars and SEND !!
* Bank govt cheque from Canada while at post office
* Clean out rubbish from inside of car
* Vacuum hall, bedroom, lounge and kitchen
* Sort out cardboard and paper in box by fireplace
* Finish painting butterflies on nursery door
* Take down venetians in nursery and put up net curtains
* Make pasta casserole to store in freezer
* Make invites for tupperware party and email out
* Decide what to have for dinner - Friday nights = takeaways, YUM ! ( Have decided to take the easy way out and let DH to the deciding !)
************************
I also have a physio appointment in the morning, and am stopping by the Warehouse to pick up some undies (cotton cheapies for hospital bag) and a spare toothbrush, THEN stopping by my mum's for brunch and a cup of tea
Edited to add: Oops ! Just as I hit the post button I remembered two more things that I'd thought of on the way home from picking up DH... *sigh*
AND I just realised that I don't have to make a lunch for DH since he buys his lunch on Fridays - D'oh !!
