I buy those boxes of huggies when they are on special for $39.99 and DS wears them at night then weekly I buy giggles when they are $5.95. The huggies last a couple of months and the giggles only a week so we spend around 10-12 dollars a week. Except MIL brought us our last two boxes of huggies and still have one box left so havent brought huggies for awhile. I will only buy nappies that are on special will not pay full price.

$45 for three weeks is reeeeeeally cheap!!!! We go through a box of 108 newborn nappies every week...which we get on special so $39.99 a week (Huggies). We're only using disposables until the girls can fit their cloth nappies though - which might be a little while yet cos they're so little. And I don't know how much it will cost when they go up to the next size either.

I also buy the bulk boxes of huggies when they are on special for $39 they usually last me two weeks (but thats for 2 toddlers)
Kate - As they get older the nappies get bigger but the stupid boxes are the same size so you get less and less nappies for the same money but as the girls get older they will need fewer nappy changes so it works out to be about the same I guess.

Hehe that's actually good to know Lisa because we're not sure if we'll send cloth to daycare or have sposies at daycare and cloth at home.

we get the huge boxes at the nappy outlet place - $29.95 and there's about 80 nappies? that can last us about 3 weeks now, and we use Babylove at night time. so I guess all up about $40 a fortnight for the twins??

We buy 2 of the regular boxes of Dryups at once (to get the big discount) and with the amount we use, they last about 3 months and only costs us about $10 a week when you work it out. Just a big outlay at the start.
Buying the bulk packs of dryups definitely saves you a lot more than buying the $45 packs we've found.

We went through a box of crawlers (chubby legs is in crawlers for the last three weeks or so) at $45 or whatever in three weeks. So with that we are now doing a huggies for night and using about 5cloth nappies during the day which is nothing to what I thought we would be using lol.
In the long run as DD has such chubby legs we will be using cloth and it costing us hardly anything as we don't pay water atm this could change if we move and its just the initial cost of the nappy.

We spend $19.36 every three weeks, on HomeBrand Nappies (the only brand that we found didnt leak that wasnt hugely expensive.) There is 50 in a pack so per nappy its about 38c. Just curious as to how much the other nappies are each?
Maddi is a bit older and averages 3-4 nappies a day. Shes in the toddler size nappy and the nappies get more expensive as they get older too.
Edited to change to 3 weeks.

I have only bought one pcket of whatever size Rory is in at the time (right now its toddler ) for $10. I usually get treasures ultra but when huggies is on special for $10 i get those and they last a week. Once in a while i have gotten a bulk pack of huggies and they last nearly 3 weeks.
All up each week i spend $40 on Rory and that includes his nappies, formula and some veges/fruit for solids.

Ditto...I couldn't resist!
But I have figures out for 9 months & I"ve just upsized that so far I've saved about $500 on what I would have spent & I've spent around $400 on cloth so far.

About $10 a week for two packets of Homebrand junior. There are only 12 in a packet though! But he wears undies for most of the day and just wears them for naps and night time.

Im a tight ar$e (ask anyone who knows me ) and wont spend more than 35 cents on a nappy so if I find something that works on special I buy lots! At the moment we are using babylove (with the wiggles on) $25 for 90 crawler at foodtown when they are on special. Unless we have a 'poo' day I use about 5 nappies a day on average.

I buy a box of huggies and PNS usually have them for $37.95 one box lasts me about 3 weeks. When they are cheap we buy at least 3 boxes at a time so we don't buy nappies for a few weeks.
